Hi Everyone, We're having trouble dialling 101 (The UK police non emergency number) 999 and 112 normalise fine and dial straight out. I'll attach a screenshot of my normalisation rules, which to me look like they should work. Is there something else i need to configure except for the dial plan? If anyone has experience with this it would be much appreciated. Cheers

Hi All, Does anyone know of a way of implementing an IP based voice broadcast PTT that would function like an old fashioned Tannoy system. Ideally this would be integrated into Microsoft Lync or FreePBX. If there is a product which does this out of the box we would consider it over FreePBX and OCS. No external trunk lines or handsets are required yet but we may be asked for this in the future hence preference for FreePBX and Lync. Have just found this product but it looks pricey Link We would like the receptionist to be able to ring classes and be able to pop-up messages that the teacher couldn't ignore easily. I have used Netsupport Notify before which worked well but the school want voice and possibly an option to add handsets.

Afternoon all. We’ve been dealing with a high level of requests and queries from both customers and Edugeek members alike recently. In order to offer some assistance en masse we’ve decided to publish the ‘how to’ and walkthrough videos we currently only reserve access for our existing customers. We’d like your input (as always) on which videos you’d like to see appear, they can be aimed at tech issues/questions for you or your team. Alternatively end-user friendly tutorials aimed at reducing the time you spend helping others use the various suites and features. If you’d like to make suggestions below, we’ll use the thanks you get from fellow members to gauge the popularity of topic. We can’t promise to handle them all, we’ll certainly give it a red hot crack. Once published you’ll be able to view them at Cloudle Joe

I have a Lync 2010 system with topology as follows: Microsoft Forefront TMG -> Kemp load balancer -> (2) Lync Front End servers, (2) Lync Edge servers, (2) certificate servers, a monitoring server, and of course a few appliances to handle SIP and what not. I've been working on this problem for a while, trying to learn my way through it, but it has become more urgent so now it's time to ask for help. Users attempting to connect to Lync (using the soft client) from outside of our main employee network encounter SSL certificate errors ever since our old certificate expired. Using a web browser to connect to some of our Lync service host names, it is possible to see the old certificate still in place and expired. I cannot find the offending certificate; I believe I've replaced it everywhere with a new one. The Lync Web Service certificate is definitely where the problem is, although I can't say for sure if the problem is anywhere else also. When I run Get-CsCertificate | fl I see only up-to-date certificates. They are listed for Default, WebServicesInternal, and WebServicesExternal. Looking in the Certification Authority MMC and IIS Manager on all my servers and checking in the load balancer I cannot find the expired certificate. Where else should I look for it?

WARNING - Skype for Business Server 2015 has a normalization/matching bug - problem for those with Exchange Auto Attendants This is a known issue that is being worked on by MS, fix is expected in q3 2015. Post with updates on this issue is here Original post is below Hi All, I have just upgraded Lync server 2013 to Skype for Business 2015 and now when trying to dial response groups through my UM auto attendant they fail with "The call cannot be transferred, returning to the main menu... The call cannot be transferred, returning to the main menu" and then the phone call cuts out. Calls to the response groups directly from an internal phone work fine, and so does dialling an individual users extension. It's just when trying to call from outside to a response group. Anybody got any ideas? (I'm going to update exchange to CU8 tonight as we are on an older rollup and hope that it helps) Many thanks, Seb EDIT: It seems like it's not able to recognise the extension, if i dial an extension that i know doesnt exist (like 9999) i get the same error in the logs. If i dial 5052 i get straight through to a person, but if i dial 5050 which is set up as a response group it fails. EDIT 2: I have checked that the cert assigned to UM and UMCallRouter has the correct subject name. I have also checked that refer support is set to none.

Lync is awesome and I've nearly got everything the way I want it but I have hit a stumbling block. Using the Test-CsPstnOutboundCall cmdlet, everything seems fine. Testing an outbound call from either Lync or a Snom 300 handset hits a snag though. The Lync user initiating the call can hear everything in all its HD glory but the remote party cannot hear the Lync user. By placing the call on hold and then taking it off hold, the problem vanishes. DTMF tones generated by button presses can also be heard... it just seems to be the voice audio. The setup is a single Lync Standard Edition server with Mediation Server co-located using a VegaStream Vega 50 Europa media gateway to connect to an ISDN-2e line.
