Citrix Licensing Issue
MrFrostmaul replied to MrFrostmaul's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
Hey, I have tried that, regarding the "Open Regedt32.exe and grant Full Control rights to the local Administrators group on the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\IMA\Data" I can only see "http://i.imgur.com/LBTpzBt.png" when trying to do that. I have tried it via the Login Part, and it accepts the account "NT AUTHORITY\LocalService", but does not come up with the popup for "The account has been granted the Logon as a Service". http://i.imgur.com/u7lnw9p.png With what I have done, I am still getting the same error when trying to start the service. Seems like the server is having a mind of its own currently. -
Hello, typical last day of half term and the main Citrix Server decided to play up again. I am having the current issues with two services: Citrix Licensing Citrix Independent Management Architecture Have both now logged in as a "Local Service", Citrix Licensing is switching between "Starting" and "Started" States. Getting these two messages in event view like 15 every second. Error Event ID: 7031 (Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider) The Citrix Licensing service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: Restart the service. Information Event ID: 7036 (Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider) The Citrix Licensing Service has entered the running state. (It keeps repeating these same two reports over and over.) Have tried to delete those two files from the Licensing folder, but they are not regenerating like normal due to service not starting correctly. When trying to start the Citrix Independent Management Architecture, I get this error message: http://i.imgur.com/GeQixBO.png Any help would be very helpful as really need this server working for Monday!

Hello, We are running Citrix XenApp, our main ThinClient Server where the Licensing is where the service keeps crashing. Our other one is running slow, but I think is is due to the Licensing issue with the first one on communication upon logon's. Error event ID's when trying to start service are: 37 and 4097 Every time trying to start service manually it crashes straight after and those two error ID's are in the event log. General Event Log of ID 37: The Terminal Services Licensing service cannot start. The following error occurred: Can't initialize Cryptographic - error code 5. To resolve this issue, ensure that required groups are granted the correct permissions to the TermServLicensing registry key and that the value of the DBPath registry key matches the location of the LServer directory. If the problem persists, shut down and then restart the Terminal Services license server. _________ Detailed Event Log of ID 4097: An error occurred during the Terminal Services license server initialization phase. Any help regarding these two Error would be much appreciated.

We use: Students: e.g. - 13robertsa (Year Joined, Surname, 1st initial of first name) Staff: e.g. - janderson (1st Initial of first name, surname) For students, makes it easier knowing from quick glace on what year group they are in and where their profile is stored. + Makes it easier for Students and Staff to remember usernames

Hello, Currently running RM SmartCache 2, everything seems to be working fine apart from blocking website for certain year groups. After looking through the settings, found that the Active Directory that RM SmartCache is looking at, is the correct one, but is not fully downloading and being able to view some of the students in a certain year group. Have tried many times to force sync and display but with no luck, but with the Organisational Unit such as Staff, that is displaying properly, just on some year groups it cannot find any users in that group even though they do exist there in AD. Any help would be appreicated.

I followed this tutorial "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYPbFyLH66k". Everything there is working correctly apart from that part I mentioned about with the activation with the Internet step when a word application is open for the first time after an install. This is what my setup looks like (following the Youtube Video):
-
Hello, In the .MSI file i have auto activate enabled, but it does not seem to be running. Here is the code I use for the .bat file. Where would I add in the Auto Activate code in this script I have? : setlocal REM **************************************************************** - Pastebin.com
-
Hi, We are using the MAK key to activate them. The activation process with the keys is working correctly, but it just the end part where the Activation Wizard wants to confirm and connect over the internet.

Hello, Managed to deploy Office 2010 using GPO, everything is working fine apart from this: When starting up from the install. It says "product activation failed" - Then wants over the internet activation or over the phone. The code is correct and it works once clicked on the activate over the internet. Is there an option for me to disable this so it auto activates and does not show this message? Regards, Matt

Hello, Currently moved all printers over to our windows server 2012 using Print Management and created a script to run on logon to map the printers, everything is working fine on normal windows machines, but getting onto the virtual side, the printers do not appear and when trying to add them it says "Cannot get core drivers". The virtual server is running windows server 2008. I can see the printers on the printers and devices for the virtual server, but they all have (redirect 2) after them and cannot print to them. If need more information etc. please reply. Thanks

Hello, I am getting this error when attempting a fresh/clean install of Windows Server 2008. The password is there on the local useraccount and is strong (including Uppercase, Lowercase and a number) in the password, yet I am still getting this error.. http://i.imgur.com/JOGdxP4.png Any help would be very handy.

Hello, we are having problems with teachers and students leaving computers on which are then left over night and on weekends which is wasting alot of power and costs which could be used else where. Any suggestions to power management software/system where I can control the computers on the network and setup schedules for auto shutdowns etc,? I know some software called "Powerwise", but they are useless in replying to calls and emails to their support.
-
Ahh, ok. Thank you very much for your help

Hello, I am currently trying to connect a laptop to the domain, I have done this fine for the other laptops, but when trying to edit the computer properties from WorkGroup to Domain, the domain box is grayed out and cannot change it. I have a feeling that this is something simple that I am missing. Any help would be much appreciated.
