The one that produces the most aesthetically pleasing screenshots of specific windows, is called 'Windows Clippings', as it won't give you black corners, but instead transparent ones. It also makes the aero effect transparent, whereas if you do ALT+Print Screen, whatever you had behind that window will be visible behind the aero. But the only problem is, that you have to pay for it.

Something I've been working on
TheMan100 replied to TheMan100's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Thank you. It's almost complete, full XP functionality has almost been achieved. I'm still testing for bugs as I go along, but apart from that it should be finished and released within a week or two. -
Perhaps you need to upgrade .NET Framework?

I have a habit of scrolling down a page without reading anything, then realising that it just isn't going to work.

Make sure you're applying the permissions to the files inside the folder, and not just the folder.

Something I've been working on

UPDATE This would have been finished quite a while ago if: A.) I'd been working on it more than I have. B.) If XP wasn't so crap. I'm starting to really lose my patience with having to recode blocks of code, and troubleshoot endless amounts of problems with XP which don't occur in Windows 7. In fact, if I'm honest it runs perfectly in Windows 7... it's Windows XP that's causing me problems. I will try and fix the issues with XP, but I can't promise anything. The reason I haven't decided to stop working on the project all together is because I've already spent quite a bit of time on it, so it'd be silly to stop working on it now; although, if I am unable to hunt down the issues that XP is causing or if I lose my patience completely I will still release it for Windows 7 and Vista only. But again, I am going to try and fix the issues I'm having with XP as I really wouldn't want to release it without XP support, seeing as that's what's been taking up most of my time on this project. Just an update anyway. -
Anybody else seen this article? (Microsoft warns Windows XP costs 5X more than Windows 7 to support | VentureBeat) I know XP is a bit dated now, but 5x more expensive to support? Would you agree?

I agree with you there. I think it could work, but I'd personally simplify the form down to a couple of check boxes and nothing more.

I vary, sometimes I call it 'jif' or 'G.I.F'

Arrrgh Sharepoint - problems with external users access
TheMan100 replied to sidewinder's topic in Enterprise Software
I'm stumped. The last thing I would try is disabling asp authentication, but I doubt that will help anything, and could make it worst. Hopefully somebody with a bit more knowledge of IIS and Sharepoint will see this thread and help out. -
Arrrgh Sharepoint - problems with external users access

Strange... I remember having a problem like this in Server 2008 with RD Web Access, it was because of Windows Authentication and Basic Authentication being on at the same time which caused it. It also had the same problems you're describing, some can log in, some can't etc. I'm surprised it hasn't fixed it, and struggling to think of what else it could be. -

Have you tried to disable all other types of authentication on the Sharepoint, apart from basic?
