We use Lightspeed and had about a year now and been very impressed with it, never had a problem with it failing and has very detailed logging of all internet traffic users are making. Also very simple to unblock, block etc. for different User Groups/OU's etc. and the scheduling feature where it can swap rule sets is very handy such as Facebook is unblocked after school hours for students and blocked during lesson time.

Thanks for the help, changed a setting on the customization tool and work good now, only problem I have is that SharePoint WorkSpace 2010 and Microsoft 2010 Tools are not being removed. Any help with getting rid of these?

I have tried that, but it seems like it don't want to uninstall previous versions of office most of the time. I will retry and look at it again.

We map all ours via Group Policy mapping and it based on OU group, for a subject share we have all staff are mapped to it, but only depts can access their subject folder.

Hello, The current situation is that our Exchange points to our external domain (mail.school.com) which works fine, but internal this does not work and anyone can only access the mail server with the server's internal IP address. Is there a way to change this to sort out so the external domain works both external and internal? Thanks, Matt

One thing I learnt from using Lightspeed when unblocking a site is to check the sites images and content as sometimes they are hosted on another blocked URL.

Hello, Just been asked by our DT Department to install this software on many computers. We have a system to deploy software which works great with DraftSight 2015, but is is asking for the user to activate the software on each computer by an email address. This is hard as we are installing on over 50 computers and would use too much time just for this. Software is free, but you still have to activate with an email which is stupid really. Hello, We are looking to be moving to Office 365 soon for Exchange, OneDrive* and SharePoint etc. I have completed the Active Directory Sync to our cloud account and syncing correctly. So here it is... As this is a school, we have users who are moving around alot and need to be able to access all their files (like currently with their user area etc.). But with OneDrive it saves a local copy of their profile to the computer, which we do not want as would use alot of space on the local computers. Is there anyway where we can have this centrally managed so when they save, instead of saving to their Network Area, it would save directory to their OneDrive acccount no matter what computer they are on?... Regarding the movement, we do not want to move all files our selfs to their Cloud accounts nor do the users as they will prob screw something up and loose their work etc. Is there a way that we can centrally do this for all users in like a batch?? Any help with this would be much appreciated

Yeah, it would be nice, but it is windows and never really works how we all think fully without any problems. We are looking to move to Office 365 soon but have some questions that want the answers to before we move. My questions are: How does 365 Work with OneDrive and Networks. Do we store everything Local then it sync's or does it save direct to OneDrive? What would we do with a Exchange Server? - Do we really need if it is all cloud based or an hybrid environment SharePoint. - How much space do we get and how many "Intranet/Subject" Sites can we create? Licenses - How do we go about assigning and managing users in Office 365 such as leavers and new students. (Does it auto sync and remove the account from 365 once we "Archive" on our AD? or do we need scripts? Directory Sync - Can we choose Certain OU's from active Directory to sync with Office 365? Any help with answering these questions would be much appreciated Thanks

Hello, Left mac mini on for a few weeks acting as a caching server, an iPad we have is not working correctly so wanted to load into iTunes and reload the iPad. Found out that the Mac Mini has problems it self. When it boots normally it just stuck on the Apple Icon on the white background. When booting into the Recovery I am faced with this error: So don't have a clue what to do next to reload the OS or somehow recover it.. Any help with this one? Thanks

Hello, One of the current printers we have in Art is very old and has started to cause a fair amount of problems. Can anyone recommend a printer which is: Cheap(ish) to run Cost to purchase isn't huge Reliable Networked Supports both A4 & A3 Printing Good print quality (as they will be printing a fair amount of pictures). Toners/Cartridges are good quality and dont run out every few days. Thanks

Hello, Wanting to clean up computers around the school with old user accounts and ones which may be corrupted. Is there any script/software out there where I enter the Computer Name and the Username to remove and it will do it (Needs to be able to be ran remotely on the network). With this script to delete their profile in the Users Folder and also their Key in Regedit - ProfileList. Is there anything like this or similar as would save hours of my life. Thanks

Hello, we are looking at going to Office 365 soon. I have a few concerns about this movement up to the cloud. Currently as Network Administrator can access any files on the network, I can't seem to find a way to do this on Office365 so the administrator account of the domain cannot see it's own users files which for education is wrong as you dont know what is saved on those areas etc. So is there anyway the Office 365 Domain Administrator can access it's users files? Thanks
