yes all permissions are correct, it still works for xp machines.

how did you get the start menu to redirect? thats what i'm having a major issue with at the moment.

cleo are still running 1.9.10 at the moment so i presume that their tool will only be tested and compatible with that version.

are you in cumbria or lancashire? cleo do all the installation of moodle for you and will even design a template for it. their installation will also include the mis upload tool. which to get the data into moodle you need to run 2 reports from sims and import them into moodle. there's instructions on the cleo website for this Link. have a look round that and complete this form and they will set an instance of moodle on their servers up for you.

iTalc is free but i've never used it but should do what you want. But i can say abtutor is a fantastic product definately worth the investment.

Dhcp and dns. is it the only server you have in school? make sure everthing has replicated properly to the new dc which could take a day or so. take a look at this thread for some more info.

You will require global catalog look at this for any help regarding fsmo roles and global catalog. this is a link to seizing fsmo roles but down at the bottom of the page is how to test global catalog and you can transfer it using the same method by ticking the box on the server you require it on.

if you use xcopy with the /o switch i think it copies the permissions. failing that at command prompt type xcopy /? and it'll tell you all the switches that are available.

on my install its down 127.0.0.1 (which i know is local host) but you could try inputting the ip instead of localhost. worth a try.

Our old head had one of these it hink she got it from amazon.

You culd get some ideas from these guys and create your own.

if its just to another school in lancs you should be ok SI, you should be able to just enter the cleo ip address of the other schools video conferencing device and it should work ok. i've not tried it for a few years but i guess it should be ok. PM me if you want to give it a try and i'll give you my ip address.

I've just had a knee op 5 - 6 weeks ago wasn't the most fun experience being completely none weight bearing on my left leg for a month.

Just make sure you go for a gentle jog then stretch before doing any serious running. and stretch after playing as well. always helped me when playing.
