  1. A better world, really? There is several studies now that link high consumption of dairy products to a much higher chance of having osteoporosis, and a higher chance of prostate cancer, plus there is the whole ethics issue. Feel free to watch this, there are some distressing pictures in there though:
  2. download the Happy Cow app and see what comes up on the search results As a side note, roughly 75% of the world's population is lactose intolerant What is Lactose Intolerance? | The Physicians Committee , which brings up the question, why do a lot of people still consume dairy products?
  3. Have a look at Ecotricity, flat rate charge across pre-paid and quarterly meters and they are actively investing in Green energy. Plus customer service is top notch

    MaidSafe

Hey guys, have come across this today, and want to see what you lot think: MaidSafe - The New Decentralized Internet
  5. Yep, the wizard may complain if run once the team is back up, so best not to run it afterwards.
  6. It will be down to the fact that you have teamed your NIC's; the essentials wizard does not like it, I had the same issue. If you want to complete the wizard then you will need to drop to one NIC, run through the wizard, and then team up again. Beware Server 2012 Essentials NIC Teaming « Alan's sysadmin Blog
  7. Hi, Have you allowed port 1723 through your router (a typical VPN port that essentials seems to like)? Also is your NIC's teamed, or do you only have one connected?
  8. Listen to discussions by Guy Mcpherson, he has performed research to show that current climate change is in a 40 year lag, so our current is based on things we did back in 1974. Take into account that methane gas is a big contributor to climate change, and all fracking wells leak a lot of methane into the air; we are majorly setting ourselves up for collapse in the near future. Do you know many millions of dollars oil companies are spending each year on lobbying to say that fracking is good in the US (if it was good then why not just let the science speak for itself)? They are even going into schools to tell the kids that fracking is good. Have a watch of GasLand and GasLand Part 2
  9. XBMC here running on an Acer Aspire R3600 for my media box, can't fault it... even my 2 year old knows how to use it (for getting peppa pig on anyway...)
  10. Yep, this is how our current economy works; the more money (or debt, as money=debt - Money As Debt - Full Length Documentary - YouTube) that circulates through the system the better our economy looks.
  11. If you've seen "The Night of The Doctor", then you would have seen the 8th doctor regenerate into the war doctor/warrior. As John Hurt's regeneration doesn't call himself The Doctor then the numbering system still counts for future regeneration's, as by not referring to himself as The Doctor, the War Doctor is a completely different person (from what I've read).
  12. Have a look at Microsoft Virtual Academy, I'm on the "Getting Started with PowerShell 3.0 Jump Start" course currently, quite interesting.
  13. Hi Guys, please have a watch of this and share your thoughts. We all know that tech is replacing jobs.. The fact is, is that 70% of the labor workforce can be replaced by technology TODAY if we wanted to... so how can we continue to live in this Monetary based Market system when there is increasingly less money circulating around??
  14. Not everyone is happy about this. A lot of contributors to the code are being left behind, and from what I have read CM is to be dual licensed, so hardware manufactures can make modifications to the code that won't be going back to the open source community

    Capitalism

If you look at how the Monetary system works, money is created through debt. When you go to the bank for a loan, they aren't loaning you money from their pot, they are creating it out of thin air and then placing that value into your account. You then have to pay interest back on that loan, so effectively the bank has just made money out of creating money. If all the debt in the world was paid off today then there would not be a single penny circulating the economy; but then this would create another massive amount of debt through the intrerest owed as there is only enough money in the system to pay off the principle amount. Have a look at Culture In Decline....
