  1. I think ours are SAM4S and I did an in place upgrade from LTSC 2016 to LTSC 2019 without any problems.
  2. We had this happen sometimes and some of the things we put in place were moved AD join to end of task sequence make sure to delete the AD object if reimaging added a 60 second pause into the task sequence as the first thing to run on first boot into Windows I think the main thing for us was moving the AD join to the end of the task sequence to stop the blank wizard.hta page appearing
  3. I've been using Brsk (now YouFibre) for about 15 months now without any issues.
  4. I can't see any Smoothwall rules specifically allowing WhatsApp for staff. I do have a couple of outbound firewall rules allowing TCP 5222 and 5223 and UDP 3478 outbound from our BYOD VLAN.
  5. WhatsApp works on our Staff BYOD. We don't inspect https there but I'll have a look and see if I've had to do anything out of the ordinary to allow it.
  6. My installs of LTSC 2024 say the same on that screen but in About Word it is listed correctly as LTSC 2024
  7. Which application are they opening with?
  8. We've got a similar problem with some (not all) of our Lenovo PCs since moving to Windows 11. Manual lock or forced lock after 5 minutes of inactivity and the screen goes blank after a minutes and doesn't always come back. We haven't been informed when it's happened to try wake on lan but it appears it should work. Our classroom PCs aren't set to lock so it doesn't appear to be connected to a touch screen/projector.
  9. You don't need a Capita tool. Download the ISO from Microsoft and you'll be able to do an in place update for the SQL 2016 instance.
  10. Are the devices managed in an MDM? If it's managed and was assigned to the MDM using Automatic Device Enrolment you should be able to bypass the activation lock.
  11. This page - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/manage-notepad?tabs=gpo - suggests the GPO settings are machine wide for all users so maybe try installing the ADMX templates and configuring them.
  12. Have you had a demo until on site and let people try it? We've got various interactive touch screens and it feels like everything is just easier to do from the computer attached to them rather than on the screen itself
  13. Sorry. I can't see any record of the model number of the screens.
  14. They look the same as what we had. I'll have a look on Monday and see if we've still got the model number recorded anywhere or have any remotes still.
  15. We had some old ones that sound a bit like that. Can you post a picture and I'll see if they match what we had. If they are what I think they are there is a freeze function on the remote.
  16. I've been with Brsk since March and can't fault them. On install day without being prompted they planned to go from a pole into the front of the house rather than using the pole already in use that went to the back of the house. A little thing but it made things so much easier for me.
  17. I didn't and they have done an upgrade of their software since.
  18. Yes. Stuck extracted the ISO onto a USB and installed from within Windows. One thing I did first was to clone the disks onto different SSDs and then did the install onto the new disk. Just in case it all went pear shaped I figured I'd at least still have a working till by swapping the disk back.
  19. We had some running LTSC 2016 that I upgraded to 2019 over the summer without any problems. So no not up to Windows 11 but yes up to a currently supported version.
  20. If the price is right and you've not had any problems I'd stick with PlusNet.
  21. It's just let me open something I was working on yesterday.
  22. Is it looking for a template/default save location/something on a network location it can't reach? Have you tried or can you try off site but with a VPN connection back?
  23. A couple of years since I've done this so just wondering if I'm being impatient or not. Getting the warning about my certificate expiring soon and the need to regenerate. Regenerated, exported, pushed out to Windows clients, pushed out by MDM to iPads, set as default in Smoothwall itself and a hard reset and cache clear done. The warning about the certificate expiring soon is still showing. Should it go straight away or does it take a bit of time/overnight?
  24. Any chance they're logged in somewhere and the password has been changed since that login? I've seen that happen before. Maybe check open connections on File Servers to see if this might be the case.
  25. The license key is stored in the database. I've moved our installation to a new server before and once the database was restored the license was active.
