  1. Its not so much the run command box thats the issue, its typing unc paths directly into the search box and allowing user access to netlogon and sysvol via dfs paths
  2. Hello, I've been doing some testing on a Windows 10 Education build. After imaging and locking down users via Group Policy i have noticed a security issue when logged on as a standard user. I cannot stop standard users being able to UNC from either the search bar or Windows Explorer to any DFS path. For example \\domain.local\sysvol - Standard users have full access to these files. Has anyone come across this and what did you do to stop it? I am stumped. Thank you EDIT - I have managed to disallow unc searching from the Windows File Explorer search/navigation bar but i cannot stop the windows 10 search bar or just when you hit the windows key and start typing from accessing UNC\DFS paths
  3. sorry to revive an old thread but does anyone have the installer for version 2.2? 2.2 works so much better with resolutions than 2.7. But i cant find the 2.2 installer anywhere.

  5. @abillybob It won't make a difference if you restore with a downloaded IPSW file as its an activation lock issue.
  6. Apple configurator downloads the latest IOS and erases the iPad to allow us to restore via iTunes. There hasn't been an IPSW imported into Apple configurator as a base image.

  14. Been asked to do this myself for a primary school. Found an IOS app called "Inventory Scanner" which looks good. Then buy blank asset tags. Will take a bit of time to input the data on large network i suppose. But the only cost is buying the asset tags. For smaller schools with less hardware i think its a good solution
  15. Hello, Just thought id post this here to get some opinions. Im currently on an ICT Support 2 scale but out of a team of three there is the network manager an apprentice and me. I am in charge of support for two primary school and soon to be supporting a third in sept and this is my responsibility only. I also have other responsibilities in my main post such as hardware management and printing supplies. I also train the apprentice on the PA system. I think i am on the wrong scale and should be upped to ICT Support 3? Does anybody else do support for primary schools? What level of support are you? Is this in the job description of tech 3? I look forward to your replies Thanks
