Is it worth including the base platforms share point and moodle too for a more holistic analysis? Granted more work, but more freedom and there are some great companies out there that work with these for schools.

Yer.... Chris that hornet moth can bugger right off!
-
Wish I had a time machine... among many things I would do, one would be to start several small companies with names like iPad (and all associated I's) sky virgin and others... Just so others couldn't use them

Call it SkyeDrive Just to annoy Sky

Thats it, mind made up! Either the Sony Vaio Duo 13 or the Samsung Activ Q (when it comes out). Thinking early xmas present to myself!
-
I do... most are on here! (Waiting for offers.. Friends!) I have read more reviews, the HP Envy x2 looks interesting, or back to the expensive Samsung, the expensive Sony Vaio or the Surface.
-
hummmmmm interesting. I should note I don't work in a school. Keen to hear thoughts on the Acer as I have been looking at that too
-
Gotta say doing more looking it seems Surface or the Activ Q to be the winners for me so far... leaning more to the latter
-
I say price is not the issue, that doesn't mean I can afford 1000s... for me I am looking for the most practical device. Something that I can use at home docked to my desk setup, then take away on business as either the laptop or tablet. Doesn't have to be super quick as in high spec for game playing. Windows is probably the way forward for me personally.
-
After some advice... mostly because all the online reviews contradict each other! I'm in the market for a new laptop, and wanting this to be small but powerful enough (just for the usual emailing and browsing), and have been looking into hybrids. So a device that detaches from keyboard into a touch tablet. Meaning I have one device not 2... and can ditch the iPad (screw you apple!). Samsung look most interesting, and dare I say the Surface too. Opinions?
-
Please... do I'm kidding!
-
Well said! However, isn't the point more about if you want to use it and being abused... I do like it how there has to be 'easier reporting features' available... always it has to be a big red button so large it fills half the screen... because current reporting facilities are too hard to find/use???

Very interesting indeed. Particularly as it is a third of the price of SApple's offering

Met him too as a result... interesting fellow

[aspen] Aspen MIS chosen as MIS for all of British Columbia, Canada

In terms of the physical database yes there will be for performance and redundancy. From a user perspective it is one database carefully controlled so each school only sees information pertinent to them. This is how Aspen works in a multi tenancy scenario, or groups of schools and trust groups, districts or provinces and beyond. -
