have a really good fiddle with all the settings in the advanced options of the capture card settings in VLC and make sure you've ticked Device properties and Tuner properties and see if you can get anything going from there. Does the the card have video in/s-video in or just RF tuner? Si

Just tried my 1st import of the summer season into SIMS of the EProfile data. It only inported data for 37 out of 39 pupils and errored on 2 of them saysing somethign along the lines of "pupil Fred Bloggs with UPNxxxyyyyzzzzz was already on the system so I couldn't be bothered to import tyhe data" (or similiar words ) Anyone else had this and know what needs doing to correct it (I went as far as looking at the 1st mark scheme and their didn't seem to be any data fpor the 2 pupils in question so I don't think I can ignore it like all the other error msgs against the other pupils! - every year something goes wrong with this - and I've got 4 more schools to do!) Unifi is the way to go for a primary You don't need a site survey if your sticking one AP in each teaching area 24 APs at £65 each = £1K5 Each AP needs its own network point so if you don't have a spare one in each class you'd need to budget for that (£20 for a little 8 port switch in the classroom - £100/point at most to get a contractor in run extra wires (£3k max - prob a lot lot less) + few hundred for a central 24 port switch. The Unifi APs are centrally configured but run independently so I'd call them semi-managed There's not many contractors offering Unifi because there is no cut to be taken out of the hardware cost but I'm sure if you found a good installer in the area that you could just ask them to quote you for the infrastructure wiring and a labour plus cost for screwing the APs to a celing/wall Simon

Success The wiring harness was behind a side panel in the footwell, one of the scotchlock connectors didn't and I had to reverse the lock/unlock connectors but its in and operational and I now have my daughters off my back
