  1. I read the majority of them on my phone. If the reply is more than a couple of sentences I will wait to I'm on my computer (Laptop or desktop) to write and send.
  2. Hollywood Babble-on Tell em Steve Dave Fatman on Batman No such thing as a fish The Bugle
  3. I learnt using Mario Teaches Typing. Not sure if you will getting working on a modern computer though.
  4. image capture is good for taking both photos and videos from an iPad.
  5. If you are looking for a free solution I would recommend Wisesoft Bulk AD Users. I've used it for years and it works great, you create everything in Excel then it does the rest of the work for you.
  6. We also use category 2 with unwanted items blocked by webscreen. It has worked fine for us.
  7. Have you tried something like Tree Size to help you see what is using up all the space? It might help you work out the problem.
  8. This can sometime be caused by something interfeering with the boards. Have a look at this guide it might help. I know we had to put some wood behind a couple of our boards to stop it from happening. http://knowledgebase.force.com/servlet/fileField?id=0BEU00000008QTt
  9. Wahoo! I've got it working again! It turns out I had a corrupt database. I managed to fix it by using this guide: https://docs.moodle.org/27/en/How_to_check_your_database_for_corruption Thanks to everyone that helped to point me in the right direction.
  10. Do you know how I do this? I can't find the mdl_config table anywhere so I can't change the dbsession to 0. Thanks
  11. I was just reading something else that leads me to believe it might be an SQL problem. But without being able to login at all I can't check the settings you mentioned. Does any one know a way to check anything relating to SQL via the linux server directly?
  12. I've already gone through those threads but with no joy, thanks anyway. Everyone else seems to fix this problem by changing the permissions on the sessions folder. I can't find that so have created it manually and set permissions but it doesn't fix anything. It's strange because it was fine last year and nothing else has been changed or updated. I have tried multiple browsers on different devices and that has no effect.
  13. Yes, they are all showing the same time. Anything else to check? Thanks
  14. So I've come back after the holidays and Moodle has decided to start playing up. No one can login, myself included. All we get is the following message: Your session has timed out. Please login again. I've checked the server space and that is fine. Some other people were having issues with a sessions folder but we not appear to have one (Creating one didn't fix anything either). Has any one else had this problem, if so can they recommend a fix. This wasn't setup by myself and I'm a bit of a Linux noob but will give any suggestions a try. Thanks, Steve

  16. Xibo Help Scroll to the bottom section, it has tips for getting powerpoint to work correctly. I was having the same problem until I followed this guide.
  17. I help setup an internet station for a friend a while back and did everything using shoutcast. Pretty straight forward to setup and plenty of guides out there to help. It's very reliable and easy to use. It streams from the studio to a online service called mixstream as the studio has limited bandwidth. This lets them have lots of listeners but there is a cost involved with this part.
  18. We use RoomBookingSystem.co.uk with SIMS integration and it works a treat. Support has been fantastic the few times I've needed to contact them.
  19. I use an spreadsheet to do this I downloaded from here: Wisesoft - Account Management Spreadsheet
  20. I would give Planet PC a call, they have set up the equipment at two schools that I've worked in and have been great both times.
  21. Do you have any idea what the salary for this role might be as it sounds like something I would be very interested in? Thanks.
  22. I use VNC or team viewer to do this. Team viewer is good as it is web based so I can access it from anywhere not just the machine in my office.
  23. I have considered it but I don't know what else I would do. I couldn't afford to take a pay cut and doubt I would be as well paid straight away if I went onto something completely different. I've thought about getting out of schools and getting a job in the city but don't know if I want to do all of the traveling or have less time to spend with my family.
  24. I've only ever done this once and it was a while ago but I did get all of the information I needed from the following site: Satellite Finder / Dish Alignment Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com The best tip though is look at other peoples dishes and point your one in the same direction.
  25. Mine was about 7 seconds. That's running I a fairly decent Server 2008 R2 server.
