OK I have sorted it out so that 'DefaultOpenPath' and 'DefaultSavePath' can now use Environment Variables if specified between %% I will release this as soon as I have fixed another bug I'm working on :-)

%HomeDrive% will only return the drive letter so what you need to use is actually %HomePath% which will return the UNC or local full path. I will do it! :-) I can program in any Environment Variable but the you would have to follow these simple guidelines: The string must start AND end with % otherwise will default to desktop. Make sure its is spelt correctly too :-) I will ty to get it done in the next few weeks :-)

We send our windows printers over WiFi on macs using papercut mobility. We just advertise all the printers that the pupils are allowed to print.

If your clients are Dell machines then disable deep sleep control in the BIOS located under ‘Power Management’. Also make sure under the same heading the you have turn in ‘wake on lan’. Then you have to make sure WOL/magic packets are enabled in the driver using the loose instructions below: Go to Device Manager. Expand the Network Adapters section. Right-click the adapter in use and click Properties. Click Advanced tab. Select Wake on Magic Packet from the Property list. Expand the Value section and select Enabled. Click Power Management tab. Select the check box for Allow this device to wake the computer. Click OK.

It sounds like you have three/four options: 1. They maybe a hot fix for such an issue but that depends on when windows server version you are using. If using server 2008 (not r2) then apply the hot fix below: (ignore the fact it refers to vista, works for both) http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=972600&kbln=en-us#step1 2. There is a group policy causing the problem. This is the most likely thing you need to look at. 3. If your printer names are quite long, rename them to 6-8 characters, worth a shot this one. 4. Using one user as a test, delete the following registry keys that reside in: HKCU\Printers\Connections and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Devices and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PrinterPorts Then log off and log in again and see what happens.

Has anyone thought about routing their services through CloudFlare? They have DDoS protection built in, we have a good number of DNS entries setup with them some go through CloudFlare and others to bypass. Check it out as it certainly cheaper than most.

I've played around with it already but the issue I had was saving the selected backgroung to a readable string value that I could pass back to the software when opening an ExamText file. For which I was unsuccessful and no matter which method of converting the colour to ARGB or HTML colour, it was not consistent. SO this is a no go, sorry.
