  1. Hello. We have the same issue. We don’t have windows server setup so I’m trying to send out a start-up script to remove this update. I would like it to remove the update silently but prompt for a restart. I tried this line via my laptop in command prompt but hasn’t worked wusa /uninstall /kb:5000808 /quiet /promptrestart I tried this one too but no luck wusa /uninstall /kb:5000808 /quiet Any help would be much appreciated
  2. Thank you for this. I don't think we have a retention policy in place but this job has been passed onto the schools DPO so I'm off the hook. Thanks anyway!
  3. Hello. I’m trying to find out what happens to the user’s data after the user has been deleted from the office 365 admin console. I understand that I have 30 days to recover the data and after the user will be permanently deleted. Is this true? We have a parent who is worried about her child's data staying on Microsoft Teams. Such as her assignments etc. Should I setup a retention policy? Or simply deleting the child will delete everything related to his or her? Any advice would be much appreciated!
  4. Hello everyone. I’m trying to import users to the AD via Solar Winds user import tool. It worked perfectly before on another server but on this server when I click create users it gives me the following error: 2021-02-19 11:07:35,364 [6] ERROR UserImportTool.Logger - Failed to create user:blaka184[system.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x8007202B): A referral was returned from the server. Anyone know what the issue could be? Thank you in advance
  5. I moved the dc's files to make space then booted up the file server and the merging continued! All good now.
  6. Hello. Thank you guys for the replies on this thread. I wanted to do the compact of the hard drive following this article https://www.altaro.com/hyper-v/compact-hyper-v-virtual-disks-vhdx/ but when I got to do it, it came up ‘Edit is not available because checkpoints exist for this virtual machine’. Done a bit more research and found this article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/user-guide/checkpoints which I followed to delete the checkpoint via the hyper v console. It was all looking good the C drive was done but when it got to do the E drive which is where all the files are the physical servers hard drive run out of space and on 85% the virtual file server merging status said failed. As I was watching the drive getting lower and lower I quickly shut down the dc which is the only other vm that we have and sits on the same physical drive as the file server. At the moment temporarily I’m moving off the DC’s vhdx and avhdx files to make space again on the physical servers HD. I still have 2 more checkpoints that I could delete for this file server. Do you think once I have about 200GB space I could delete another checkpoint and the merging would start again? Or because the previous failed this would be a bad idea? I have an identical copy of the file server’s E drive (avhdx and vhdx files) which I copied prior to the merging so maybe I could put those back and start again? Although not sure the checkpoint would show up again in the hyper v console which is where I originally deleted. It’s a mess! Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you
  7. Hi. Thanks for this. I have another VM which is off so I tried to test this but could not see an option called modify. When I got to the disk of this vm it only gave me the option of New, Edit, Inspect and Browse. I did look at edit which gave me Compact, Convert and Expand. I did try Compact but it did not shrink the drive. Thanks
  8. Hello. I have a physical server that has 2 virtual servers running on.The physical server (Drive E) where the VHD and VM folders are stored for these virtual servers are start to run low on disk space. I deleted about half a TB data from one of the virtual servers but that didn’t reflect on the physical server’s drive. Is there a way to shrink the hard drive of the virtual server to give space on the physical server? Thank you in advance!
  9. No this is just a standalone laptop for an sen child, the laptop is actually from an external company. There is an account for the child on the laptop and it is an administrator account. He need to print so they ask to add the printer and silly me just went \\ server and added the printer, I did have to type in the credential but there was no choice to save or not save the password. Tbh it very unlikely that they will access the server but you never know!
  10. Thanks. I did remove this entry but made no difference so I put it back.
  11. the local user account yes but not the domain admin account

  13. Hi everyone. I have a non domain laptop where the administrator password was typed in while adding the school printer and now I can access the server if I browser to it like \\serverHow do I remove the credentials from this laptop? 14. Thanks everyone, clearly Unifi is the winner here. We have it too in one of the school/nursery that I support. They did have issues but I think it is just the lack of devices for the amount of space they are trying to cover ,nothing to do with the performance of the system. Which Unifi AP are you all using? There are so many on the website. Is there a controller for it? I read that it's cloud based. Thank you again.

SOme of the website that the user is trying to access are www.cpoms.co.uk and www.strictlyeducation.co.uk. 20. Thanks Michael. I used the DC for this. I created a gpo in the OU where the computers are. Configure Windows NTP Client- I enabled this. Set the IP to the DC IP. The rest I left as it was. Enable windows NTP client- I enabled this. I changed the refresh from 90minutes as well under the GPO refresh for computers. Thank you again!
  21. Thank you Michael! It worked! Do you know what happened? Thanks again!)

  23. Good morning everyone.I recently setup a server with Windows Server 2019 Standard edition (one physical which has 3 virtual servers attached) and having problem with the clock. Basically, it is always showing an hour early. The time zone is set to (UTC+00:00) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London. The automatic time sync is switched on in windows and tried to sync to both address (time.nist.gov, time.windows.com) but no luck. It just says it has been successfully sync but showing the wrong time. Any advise would be much appreciated.
