  1. We have just installed a Unifi US‑16‑150W switch in a school with some AC-Pro APs. All working well. We want to add an old UAP-Pro access point to an outbuilding and wondered if the switch will PoE it? The AP says that it requires 48v and the switch supports 802.3at but unsure if these are the same? TIA
  2. Anyone running Paxton from a server hosted in, say, Azure? Just wondered if it would allow MATs to control doors across all sites from one Net2 install
  3. Not SWGfL or any other RM provided broadband? status.rm.com Problem with Chrome 58 and their certificate
  4. We currently have Office 365 and have created the SPF record that Microsoft tell you to. I now need to add another server name to it. It is my understanding that I cannot add an additional record so need to amend the current one to include this additional server. Does anyone know the format of the record to include an additional server?
  5. ZuluDesk for a decent MDM
  6. Not if access was only through browser. Yes if uses Google Drive Sync.
  7. Will files in Google Drive now be prone to Ransomware attacks?
  8. Is Clever Badges free for Chromebooks login?
  9. We are upgrading to Win10 and Server 2016 but I am having problems with printers I have enabled Point and Print restrictions and enabled Point and Print Approved Servers but drivers still do not install automatically. I have changed something in regedit to make the driver appear to be packaged and it shows as packaged in print management. Using Preferences to deploy the printers. If I manually install the driver once then future installs on that machine work fine. Anyone know of a fix?
  10. I've moved a few customers using the Hybrid solution and all are now full cloud and have the same management as customers who started out in O365.
  11. I did this by creating a variable %programfiles(x86)% to point to c:\Program Files on all machines through GPO. Then point your shortcuts to %programfiles(x86)%\path\exe. On x64 machines the %programsfiles(x86)% variable already exists and does not get written over so always points to C:\Program Files (x86). The x86 machines will use the variable settings from the GPO and point to C:\Program Files. Basically each architecture will always point to the x86 program files location
  12. What? If you move everything to the cloud then you have full management in the cloud. Going Hybrid is required when you want to have some in-cloud and some on-premise. If you are planning on going full cloud then complete the migration, switch Max records and away you go
  13. It can be done via regedit. Just google it, lots of hits
  14. So those authorities that host SIMS centrally and give access to schools via RDP/VPN will no longer be able to sell such a service?
  15. I've seen Snickers are now making Knickers! Only one place he wants to put his nuts!
  16. You need a Mac assuming you are not using DEP. The software is free
  17. Microsoft wouldn't care. I wouldn't do it though incase the schools did join a MAT but not together
  18. Not a problem for me. I disabled AAD Sync while I was doing it but all worked afterwards No ADFS here though
  19. Then you are getting ripped off! For 800 users it ain't gonna be cheap but you could question if some users could be skipped? i.e don't do Pupils
  20. Thanks just wanted clarification that it must be kept safe!
  21. The LEA create backups of SIMS/FMS and save them as a .bak file. This is then part of our backup set. Question is whether that .bak is secured in anyway. i.e only useful if you know the sa password. If someone got hold of the .bak file should I be concerned?
  22. Easiest way is to use CloudMigrator365. Doesn't cost that much and will move all emails and OneDrive data for you. There will be hardly no email downtime during the migration either which is great
  23. Yes it's OK. As soon as they leave the org and you disable/delete the account then the home software will stop working. It's all done through the Licenses you assign them
