  1. No way to reboot the ACU via its IP address?
  2. They show in the Config Utility and it can ping them. In the console they show as not responding and have red crosses.
  3. I have moved Net2 Pro from one server to another. Prior to moving I upgrade the client from v4 to latest v5. However no somethings do not work as before. Firstly we can not open doors from the Open Door button with Net2. It registers the event but does not open door. Secondly, no token swipes are registered so when we do reports it shows no one as in. However all entry cards continue to work. Anyone know what might need to happen to get these things working again?
  4. We’ve had some customers with Stone computers fail in the last few days. Just will not boot. Is there a fix for it? We updated one BIOS but that completely borked the machine which will now not turn on at all.
  5. I rolled that out earlier and waiting on staff feedback
  6. Its the graphics driver that is logged as the faulting modules. The all seem to be the G35 chipsets. They are in Stone PCs so may see if a BIOS update is available
  7. We have an issue with some old machine running Office 2016. Word, Excel and Powerpoint all crash as described here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2983468/possible-office-2016-and-2013-stability-issues-with-the-intel-video-dr However the chipsets we have - 946GZ and G35 - have the latest graphics drivers. Has anyone had this before and found a solution?
  8. I can’t see any reg keys that specify licensing. That said, everyone uses the same elements so not too bothered
  9. Ah that’s great. Thanks for confirming
  10. And when it is running in the bottom bar it says “Solidworks Education Edition - Instructional Use Only”
  11. The licensing server was in the MST however I cannot find anything in the registry that this is set. On my test machine I have made no changes after deploying and I can run Solidworks. Does it run even if unlicensed maybe in restricted mode? Or if it opens then everything is working correctly?
  12. So by the sounds of it no manual activation process is required at each station. As long as the client can see the licensing server it will borrow a license.
  13. I’ve got it installed now and activated but struggling to understand the deployment to machines. I have created a MST and can deploy the msi with it but the machine doesn’t auto activate. It seems I must borrow a license from the server and then it shows as the username and computer name. Is this correct? I can only seem to borrow for 1 month as well?
  14. Thanks I will proceed with installing a 2012 R2 server for this role
  15. We are trying to install Solidworks 2014 on Server 2016. Its actually the network license server we are installing. However it is failing. We think it may not be supported by Server 2016 so wondered if anyone currently has it working? If not, does anyone have it installed on Server 2012 R2? Would rather not have to drop down to Server 2008 R2
  16. Thanks, that’s exactly where the documents were
  17. I have moved a school from CC4 to Vanilla but some users have stated that stuff previously on their desktop is no longer available. I have full backup of the previous servers I can fire up but unsure of the location of the users’ desktops when they have permission to save to it. There is nothing local on the machine so assume it would be in profile but I don’t not recall seeing a Desktop folder located in any profile in h:\RMUsers\Staff\Profiles\username Any suggestions?
  18. Thanks. I’ve activated and started it to capture now so will see if it works
  19. I’ve built an image and have included Adobe CS4 Web Standard in it. I have not activated it yet. Does anyone know whether it will stay activated if I put a key in, sysprep and capture the image and then deploy the image across the site? I’m hoping to capture the image tomorrow to deploy Monday so don’t really have the time to try it myself.
  20. Obviously an old write up. It still works on the latest Google sync tools today?
  21. Yes but I am setting them. Or does it not work because at the time of being set the account doesn’t exist in Google?
  22. I have GSDS and GSPS setup. It generally works fine. I have one issue with it though. When creating a new user the initial password does not sync to Google. I wait for my GSDS to sync (every 2 hours schedule task) and then I need to reset the password in AD for it to work. Is this normal? I though that after installing GCPS that Google could intercept and read the password that was being set.
  23. Migrated it today with no problems. The license does not migrate but you can copy and import the license file from the old directory
  24. And they moved all the data within the tenant? How many users was it?
  25. Another question - was the license part of the backup or did you have to import that separately?
