All these files could go into cloud storage solutions such as 365 or Google. You don’t need a server for door systems. A normal PC would run it fine or look at cloud servers as well. All depends what other roles you are expecting servers to do and if you have any others anyway

Is allowing vimeocdn.com a good idea? Wouldn’t this enable any videos hosted on the CDN to play? -
Intuning laptops - oobe -> Reboot -> User Actions
snagrat replied to mdrabble's topic in O/S Deployment
I think it is to do with LAN connectivity? I don’t recall having this problem with PCs only laptops. It is as though the keyboard configuration from the policy is applied before join and the profile must be available before connectivity -

Still working through the new Smoothwall install and we have found that all users get classified as Default Users. Logging into the Cloud portal and we can see the directories are there but each group is not assigned to an AD group. I expect this is why but the ability to add groups or do any changes is greyed out. Is this right? It is the same for all our cloud admin users. I cannot see that these groups should be managed via the onprem device so am at a loss to how these groups get associated to the correct AD groups

This is the way to do it. However, unless it has changed, this won’t stop already created 1:1 chats from continuing. It only stop creation of new

I nearly came here the other day to say how great Arbor support is. And to a degree I still agree with that. However, if you have a migration issue get hold of someone is a nightmare. We have four schools migrating, two which haven’t received any log in details yet. The onboarding team just tell us it’s done and the leads have been emailed - they haven’t. Any email communication takes 24 hours to reply. I’ve even passed on my contact details for someone to ring me but no one does. Account manager is useless and has also confirmed he can’t do anything more. A couple of disappointed schools, and a very annoyed MAT

Smoothwall - Add additional subnet
snagrat replied to snagrat's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
As soon as I add the address will all the routing work? Or will a reboot be required? -
I'm new to Smoothwall and just getting to grips. I have contacted support but might be that some on here are quicker to reply. Our new S8 have the single interface for LAN. This is a /22 We also have a /24 subnet that some devices we are unable to quickly change are using - such as CCTV and door entry. Ideally I want to add this /24 as another interface to Smoothwall so that internally the networks will route. As our computers on the /22 need to view the cameras on the /24. Is it just a case of adding the /24 gateway IP to the interface IP addresses?

I need to allow our Cambium Access Point to communicate with cloud.cambiumnetworks.com. I need to add this URL to be excluded from HTTP inspection as the APs won't have the certificate on. Do I just add the URL to the Exception URLs category? Currently there is nothing in the category as this is a new install.

You can’t have same subnet and range if you are using a Site-to-site. Doors can be on a different subnet to the main server, in fact everything can be in different subnets as long as they are routable. We run our main database on a server in Azure and then Site-to-site to each site and connect to each controller. We also have Pro so we can control the doors from our mobiles remotely.

Yes I have had it and for me was fixed by updating the software to the latest version. That was a few months ago though so unsure of the versions numbers.

Does anyone know a way that UDFs can be assigned in bulk? I don't want to have to go through each staff member to do the same thing.....

What email are you referring to? Our users only get one email when they are first provisioned, containing their PIN. From then on, all logins happen via SSO

We use UniFLOW online and have no issues with switching devices. We also use Printix which works well as fully cloud

We use Yeastar but host our own P-Series Software edition. Basically the Cloud version. Up to 400 extension now and just run it in Azure

It is pretty straight forward. Can get a little harder when dealing with multiple domains and tenants but still possible.

I’m looking at this now and Freshworks have sent me to GCloud but from what I can tell there is no price saving

We pay about £15 per staff member per year. But spending on numbers I have seen it go as low as £12
