Yep I think they get this straight out of the pile of excuses written in the 1970's that includes " you can't ask for computer skills in a teaching advert".

Definite nay here. I have had repeated requests for iPads over the years and only one request got passed the "certainly, what will you use it for? with what apps?" bench mark and that was for the Head and SLT's private collection of glittery expensive things. Everyone else fell at the first hurdle.

Chrism03 replied to kestrel1's topic in Cloud Services
Dependent on the licence you have it should be under the product licence section for that user (assuming the user is an active user, not deleted) For us its: Exchange Online (Plan 1) for students Also under Mail setting (further down the page) there is Email Apps, it is possible to block the user there by blocking all apps -

+1 for Tramadol After having abdominal surgery many times for crohn's disease tramadol is a god send (that and a good cough strap). If you've been living with chronic pain the absence when you heal is a wonderful feeling, well worth the surgery.

Remember that the long and short of it is that your notice starts the date you give it (the date on the letter / email) not the data the they notice your notice ;-) If you want to be helpful then you contact SLT / Head etc. to inform them directly.

Had this when I hadn't fitted the lamp cover properly, removed and refitted it and it worked again -
Insight supplied almost all of our servers (Lenovo) and give us fantastic service. Read Ebuyer's T&C carefully, we got stuffed with a load of grey import memory that cost us a 50% restocking fee.

A simple thank you after fixing stuff. The smell of petrol, hot engine and oil in my garage when pottering about. Forgetting about everything with a deadline when out with the family.

Poll: Data Protection Officer?

No one yet, I keep asking. -
Eventually got it sorted, but tbh I couldn't tell you what caused the issue. Tried 3 different driver versions and ended up installing a HP usb driver to get the USB001 port to show up

Hi All, We have GCC Mercury III Laser cutter attached to a Win8.1 PC via USB. This has been working for 2 years. This week its decided to give up the ghost and stop communicating with the PC. I have changed the cable and reinstalled the driver, updated the driver. The cutter is detected as unknown USB printer and will not recognise the drivers and when running the GCC (manufacturer) driver install it puts the cutter on LPT1 Any pointers? Thanks in advance

Legacy boards dropping connections over USB3
Chrism03 replied to DavR's topic in Promethean Direct Support
I've tried changing cables, lengths, ports, drivers and a different PC without success but a quick swap with an older laptop (no USB 3) and the board worked fine. -
Hi All, hopefully some of you will have seen this. We have upgraded to the summer release and in most cases all is well. There is one server (our cashless catering system) that requires the SIMS client on to link to SIMS. When we try and launch SIMS the update starts gets to the yes/no prompt and then stops. the two event below are generated. The server is fully patched and in all other aspects happy. Any ideas greatly appreciated Event ID 1026, .Net Runtime error Application: Pulsar.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
