Yeah thanks that's what I normally do, I was asking really for the principal who is very use to outlook
-
Hi, So, using outlook (full version) and I am currently viewing an email from someone and I then think I want to re fence back to an earlier email I click sort by sender and it then sorts my emails by sender and I view those emails. So.... I do the same thing in the office 365 web app and it sorts them but resets the whole view so I end up having to then scroll down to the person I am looking for... Is this supported in the web app (hope I'm explaining this right) Thanks
-
Has anyone figured out a way of downloading several attachments at once in the 365 web app ? Thanks
-
Hi, I'm after some advice on the web based version of Office 365... If in outlook you can start typing a name and it brings up suggestions, normally if you have emailed them before. So say that persons address changes you can normally click the cross and remove it so you don't end up sending email to a duff address... So in the web app it brings up the suggested contact but only allows you to send to it, no cross to remove it for Showing again. Do I need to be look elsewhere to sort this or is this a feature ? Thanks Matty

Not sure if this is the right category but here goes. Would anyone be willing to PM me there AUP that they get users to accept when they log on. Also because I'm using impero in thinking of doing one for staff and one for students so would be interested to see both types of AUPs Thanks Matthew

Just out of curiosity how is your relationship with your management team ? Whilst creating letters etc is all fine, from experiences I have seen in various roles letters can sometimes (rightly or wrongly) wind the management team up. Not that I'm saying this is true here but I know if it were me I would sit down with the management team first and discuss it. Then explain how then you are submitting a letter for promotion etc... Sometimes a letter can catch people off guard.... It's a bit like getting a quote, you get 3 and you put proposal together explaining your decision but then management just ignore all that and go straight to the bottom figure -
If you can make it to the north east I'm an IT manager for an education trust and would be more than happy to welcome you

Yeh well we just had dir sync on its own server so was just easier to start again instead of spending a lifetime tracking the fault down
-
And is DIRSync the only thing you have running on it ? Only reason I ask is I had the same issue a few weeks back. Randomly the service stopped and wouldn't start then when I started looking into groups and security some weren't there. But they were services and accounts set up during the install. So rather than spend ages trying to diagnose I just recreated the DIR Sync server
-
Is this an existing dir sync server or a new one you can't get working ? Matty

My upgrade happend last night and I'm curious because outook exchange etc is all upgraded, however the sky drive, sharepoint is still in 2010 format... Does this take longer to upgrade ?
-
Your right it does need checking..... You need an A3 plan to use the apps are you using an A2 plan ?

Have you got multi casting enabled ? Also what wireless system are you using ? I know on Meraki you need to turn on bonjour services

Exchange 2007 to Office 365 for a poor confused idiot
mattysmith80 replied to sonofsanta's topic in Cloud Services
If your going to do a full migration to the cloud (365) you need to set up a hybrid deployment if you want a smooth translation. I have just completed ours and you literally connect to 365 through the exchange console and migrate mail boxes at will. We had to upgraded to exchange 2010 to do it though, it can be done in 2007 but its no where near as slick -
Errrr I've just completed ours using all the standard Microsoft tools, had exchange 2010, set up a hybrid deployment, set up an ADFS server and then migrated all the accounts using the exchange management console.
-
Hi, just wanted to put a question out there... Are people using office 365 in the browser or setting users up through outlook ? We have a mix but a non cached mode exchange set up through outlook isn't proving that great performance... Some staff love the 365 browser based version and others love there outlook, I suppose people don't like change

Another one here for stay away from Netgear, you really do get what you pay for we're Meraki throughout and it is fantastic. Used Meru and Rucas before too which are also very good

Why most, but not all email makes it to the server?

Are the places your sending to on the same WAN ? -

mattysmith80 replied to jmair's topic in Enterprise Software
My bet is that if you are on a local authority connection or a regional broadband type connection they will have something up on the firewall which will be blocking your emails getting to certain sites that are also connected the the authority type connection. From my personal experience we have had this issue for ages. What happens is that your email leaves your site, it leaves the network then hits the Internet, it then enters the network again and sees that the email has come from within a school on the same wan... It then blocks it because the firewall sees the traffic as trying to attack another wan network. I hope this makes sense... Basically a firewall rule needs to be put In place to resolve all mail servers so it resolves in on the wan We also have issues where we host web sites and share point that primary schools you and they can't connect to them as again traffic goes out and back in and gets blocked -
Oh right, thought as much and yes with the NGFL, mind you, if the iPad is at home connected to there provider surely that would be dishing out its location not NGFL

Nudge anyone out there -
Hi, I have Meraki set up on four iPads for testing at the moment, I was a bit confused when I saw one of them in London on the location (bearing in mind I'm in the north east of England) will this be something to do with the member of staffs public IP at home doing something strange ? Thanks Matty
