This one isn't an Active Directory problem, it seems to not load the MDT scripts after installing the OS.

Morning all, Just a quick one I'd like to ask. Recently been setting up MDT 2013 Update 2 to push out Windows 10 Version 1511, build 10586. I've created my capture image, which sysprepp'd and captured fine, then I imported the captured WIM file into my MDT share, created a task sequence.. Updated deployment share, replaced boot image in WDS and restarted the WDS service. Then, PXE boot a machine, selected the Win10 Task Sequence, it installs the OS then reboots, logs in as Administrator as doesn't continue running any scripts and just sits on the desktop. Had a look in the MDT monitoring and it always gets stuck at step 56 out of 93, then after a while the status changes to "Unresponsive" Could anyone shed any light on this one for me?

Any chance you could send me your rule settings and bootstrap.ini settings for your Reference Share?

Don't think it's a loopback, took everything out the other day. Had 1 laptop plugged in next to me, pinged our gateway and still getting timeout's with nothing on the switch. Faulty switch or config?

Thanks mate, I can't do it right now because they are all using things, wouldn't want to disrupt them as they are already annoyed haha. I'll be in here again tomorrow morning about 6:45ish so I can do it all then. Will let you know the outcome mate, thank you.

Only have 1 switch inside the cab, with 40 ports being used. Some are access points though. I'd probably say about 30 ports are workstations/printers so it won't be that difficult I assume? Switch is Dell Power Connect 5548 PoE Switch is PowerDsine 3512G - I've already turned this off see eliminate this problem.

Yeah my office is upstairs, upstairs is fine as it's running on a different cab. Only reason I pinged from my computer was just to check everything was ok. Best cause of action with network loop?

Morning all, Got a weird one here for you all, the past few weeks, half the school is having really bad intermittent network faults. By this I mean, when browsing the network drives, opening sims and logging on it's taking longer than usual. I started to begin a little experiment, the Headteacher came and saw me and said her printer say's it was Offline. This was one of the rooms being effected by this problem, so I went down and pinged it expecting no reply as print server said it was offline. However, I got a few replies, then time out for ages. I did the usual, changed ethernet, changed network port. It's a double network socket so I swapped her laptop with her printer, still the same. Started to scratch my head a little, and went back to basics. I pinged our gateway from both network ports in her office. Timing out all the time, wen't back to my office and I don't receive any time outs. I've attached screenshots of ping results, any ideas on what this could be? It's happening in about 9 rooms now on one side of our school, the other side is fine (runs off different cab) Any help is really appreciated, staff are beginning to get frustrated.

Found the fix for this everyone. Just incase anyone ever get's this. It was set in the registry and moving in/out of OU's didn't do anything, even taking it off the domain didn't resolve anything. Set this registry key in your Group Policy.

Students have FULL CONTROL to StudentHome$ Staff have FULL CONTROL to StaffHome$ This is where the user drive is mapped to. Inheritance is also turned on now. Still no joy.

Delprof didn't work, don't think it's a profile issue. Created a TEST OU, moved a laptop into it. Blocked inheritance and still can't create folders.

Would I need to do this on every profile? As it's happening to everyone

Doesn't work on both mate, just tried MSWord and still no joy. Proper bugging me now.. I disabled every policy in our domain yesterday ran a gpupdate force rebooted a few pc's and still can't create them.

Yeah they have the option at the top, but not on the right click.. When anybody rights click, even admin the "New" option isn't there. Ctrl, Shift + N doesn't work either

It can't be GPO. I've just disabled EVERY policy in there and still couldn't create a folder on a staff or student account. Each user has full control to there folder aswell.

There are trying to create folders in there home folder e.g an English folder for there English coursework.

Afternoon Edugeekers. Ran into a slight problem at this new school. Staff and Student's can't create a new folder. My first thought was permissions on the File Server where the home folders are stored, played around with those and still no luck. I created a Student Test account and moved it out of our School OU into another OU, still no change. I then decided to search the net and try and find a solution, I've come across DACLs and ACLs? If this is the case, where do I edit the ACL's? Or is it something set up in Group Policy? Appreciate any reply that could help me out. Thanks in advance.

Is that just a case of playing with PM, or do you know a method to deploy a printer using PM?

Afternoon all. Run into abit of a problem, we've got 200 Macs/Macbooks, Konica recently installed some MFD's for us, but they didn't complete the setup for the MAC side. So I've decided to do it myself. Printer and driver has been installed on the MAC Server and I've shared it. However, after hours of searching the net I can't seem to find a good guide/tutorial on how to now push this printer to all of my Macs. I believe the application you use is called Workgroup Manager and then select Preferences, this is part I am getting stuck at. Failing on LDAPv3 Authentication Could anyone help me out please? Much appreciated.

Afternoon all. I've set Adobe Reader to default PDF reader the old way in GPO (which works in Windows 7) but doesn't work in Windows 8 for some reason. Is their a different method of setting default programs in GPO for Win8? Thanks
