  1. I've been having the same problem with my graze boxes lately I budgeted to make them last at least two days each!
  2. Oh - to clarify, we have schools agreement.
  3. We buy ours from Phoenix and get an account on the volume licensing site, yes.
  4. Well, you'll need it. If you're going to be responsible for a safety measure, you should be fully trained in it. Anything else is just dangerous. Zero. Whether it counts as "other duties as required by the head from time to time" is another matter, talk to your union about this. The tester has a responsibility to make the school aware and clearly mark the item as such, and the school is responsible for ensuring it is removed from service, IMO*. The company we used to use (but now do it in house) had no problem, we just opened up the rooms and told them what needed doing and they got on with it. Your mileage will vary with different people. It's accepted to be bad practice to employ monkeys, certainly. A contractor can also cheat and apply stickers without testing if you're not watching them do it... *not legal advice nor should be taken as such.
  5. You rang?
  6. You finally had enough then?
  7. They're a sales company. They sell stuff. They paid for the privilege. Is any of that unclear?
  8. But the brief is to avoid visiting every machine.
  9. Is this anything to do with Sparklebox?
  10. Nevertheless, the article is still four years old...
  11. Error: More data required.
  12. LOOK, ALL CAPS! Nagios and Nagstamon is the dogs doodahs for this.
  13. Ahh, interestingly I was fighting this battle last week. Kerboodle itself works fine through our Smoothwall boxen, but documents loading into Word take about 30s to open. Word fires up, so it seems the headers are arriving, but then sits at its loading screen for this time. Other documents are fine.
  14. Hmm. If it was me, I'd provide a SOAP interface to the username list ("here's a list of words in the post, are any of them usernames", with a SELECT filter) and let the client-side do the matching work. Probably still a bit heavy though. Getting rid of the "@" in a displayed post after the event would be good though.
  15. Ah, ok, I'm sold on that one. However, do we have to have a special syntax for it? The tags feature has shown that if it's optional, it won't be used, and if it's not used consistently nobody benefits. I'm of the opinion that any mentioned username should be tagged automatically (and retrospectively) without a twitterism in front of it.
  16. Sweet monkey Tuesdays, we have become Twitter without the character limit.
  17. Actually these aren't strictly acronyms, they don't compress to pronounceable words (well, the second one is arguable).
  18. Are C4 still having audiences to the recordings? Any tickets available?
  19. Note: an Adobe redistribution license is required if you want to push these out to multiple clients.
  20. The author of RedNotebook (Jendrik) is seeking a new site, you'd make a friend with him forever if you could help out. (disclaimer: I am not Jendrik, but I maintain some packages for him. I can provide hosting if the site were to move from Wordpress, that is up to you guys though.)
  21. And your point is...?
  22. That is not what he stated originally.
  23. Have you considered the legal implications before you start planning how to go about it?
