  1. Well I ignored the whole torture thing anyway because, well we won't go into debating whether or not torture should or shouldn't be used as a form of interrogation. But it just looks like a good film. Just looking forward to getting an insight into what really happened as there was so much BS released about that you got lost in the Government's mist.
  2. What's everyone's view's or opinions on this film? I know not many of you will have seen it as it comes out in the UK today, but it's been in the news lately. I'm off to see it tonight as it is right up my street. Really looking forward to it despite the "bad press" it's had. But what are your thoughts? Liam - L3OUGH

    DayZ Standalone

Hmmm doesn't seem to like it for some reason, I'll just try one of the other downloads. I hope I can run it, been watching a few YouTube series of guys playing it. Looks awesome.

    DayZ Standalone

Well fingers crossed I'll get a fully paid "ICT Technician" Role soon as my apprenticeship ends in less than a month! Eeek! Hopefully when my employers offer me a decent wage and keep me on I'll be able to save for a while and get a decent setup. @DMcGuigan your setup sounds pretty darn sweet. Is there any major difference between AMD Black Editions and an i7 for example? I mean major performance differences? Or is it more a personal preference? I'm new to the PC Gaming scene if I'm honest. I've been a PS3 man for a while. But considering selling it or switching to PC. Plus that is a big list of people you can download Arma II Free from. Any suggestions for which one to go with without getting hit with a nasty?

    DayZ Standalone

I hate all of you. I really want to start playing DayZ but don't have a laptop or PC with enough beef to run it well. I really don't have the funds to buy or build one either being on a apprentice wage! Booooooooooooo
  8. ^^Good game though. Story line anyway. Prefer BF3 for online play.
  9. I'll take 300. Should be enough. Especially for that saving.
  10. Why thank you SYNACK!! I knew I'd seen a collection of guides posted by ZeroHour on here somewhere!! + fairm010 I will have sorted it after using that link SYNACK posted above. Thank you both for the responses. Thanks again. Liam
  11. Thanks for the response, We use mapped drives now. The staff can get to that screen by just going into "Documents" and clicking 'Includes 'x' Locations'. We are trying to remove that feature so they can't click 'Includes 'x' Locations' and add other places. Hope that makes sense? Thanks again
  12. Afternoon everyone! I'm trying to remove the 'Includes 'x' Locations' from users Documents. The Default save location is correct, this feature allows users to add other locations to save. We obviously don't want this as students could have a field day adding god knows where if a teacher leaves a machine unlocked. If you take a look at the below image you will hopefully see what I'm getting at + hoping to remove/disable... I've spent some time trying to find a GPO to do so, I can't and don't want to waste too much time. I'm hoping someone here can enlighten me or has done what I'm attempting to do and could advise?! We are testing and trying to get everything ready for the switch to Win 7 this summer. This is now one of those things that hasn't gone so smoothly... Please assist!! Thanks Liam -L3OUGH
  13. Or, these if you just want the mic. Trust Microphone High Sensitive | Ebuyer.com
  14. Well sounds like you've done your research. I hope that everything goes smoothly and indeed it doesn't give you to much of an headache. Also that is a small school! Don't you think you'd it beneficial to have another techie?
  15. Having seconds thoughts?
  16. That would be an interesting read to see how you get on! + Could of been a poor install. Personally I don't think our place is big enough to take advantage of what it could offer, and we are happy as we are, no real massive issues we can't sort. Watch the Print server go down now and I'll cry.
  17. I hear these are where it's at for a cheap, good set. Cosonic Multimedia Headphones - 3.5mm Jack Connection | Ebuyer.com I can't give a review as we don't have any here. Hope this helps though.
  18. Someone contacted us about a solution similar to the one you described. The other Techie here has advised us to stay clear, as his last place had one installed and it didn't go smoothly. Students activating what they were hoping to be work turned out to be highly confidential information. He said it was a shambles. So we are staying clear for a while yet. But I definitely think the concept is brilliant! I wish you the best of luck!
  19. Ahhh, getting rid of all your printers? Your not having a central print area for all staff and students by any chance are you? Almost like a printing station? + Brilliant, thanks for the offer. If I'm honest I've never had any issue with them parts wise.
  20. Eurgh, more drivers!? Only just finished sorting things out with what I thought were the latest ones! Appears I'm behind again, already! Thanks for the input MOMST. I don't think I'm going to mess much more, I've found a quick fix. If the member of staff prints the document as an "Image" it works fine, no errors. As the errors only appear when trying to print big documents. Print say a Word document with some colour on, the printer does it fine without issue. So, I'll monitor the issue for a while, if the errors keep appearing I may have to try the newest driver like you say!
  21. We've got it hosted on a 2008 R2 Server, so yes it will be fine!
  22. There are loads of guides on the internet, videos on YouTube etc etc. You could do the whole thing following guides! That's how our Network Manager did the first time round. + It saves a lot of time when it comes to the roll out, because you can upload the boot images to your WDS server, boot the machines via the NIC and choose which image you want to apply. We use "LiteTouch" which boots the OS and absolute minimum other packages i.e OS + Antivirus + possibly your VNC software. Just an example. Then as you go through set-up you can manually choose which software packages to install for example Office 2013, ICT Packages your school use etc etc. Pretty awesome. Once you've got it set up right, you could re-image a room in 30mins - 1 hour? So yes, you get the picture. Hope this helps.
  23. +1 for MDT here, we are setting it up as we speak ready for the move from XP to Win 7 in the coming summer!
  24. Thanks for the input, we were running all model specific drivers not to long ago and then switch to Universal PCL5/6 and switching between them doesn't help. I'm going to remove the printer and the driver package and re-install and see if that makes a difference. May be a corrupt file somewhere. Doubt it but hay.
  25. Possibly, haven't tried that if I'm honest. Even if it does I can't really say that's a fix for her. I think it must be something to do with the printer, it's fine on other models. Just not idea what it could be.
