Is it possible to link AD credentials through a browser to a specific web page using Group Policy So for example a user opens up Chrome or edge to go to http://www.office.com and it uses their AD credentials to login seamlessly (silently or just does it without them having to do anything.) Alternatively is it possible to pre populate a browser with login credentials and then lock these down so that they can't be deleted or changed? We would be looking to do this with one account only on one set of devices in their own OU. Cheers

That didn't happen. I've usually just re IP's the new server with the old server IP but in this instance need to keep the old one. New devices were unable to obtain and IP address.

OK quite easy if you are using the same IP address for the new server. Just backup from one then restore to the other. But I want to use a different IP address for the DHCP server so for example old one is 10.0.1.100 and the new one is 10.0.1.105. Brain freeze, how do I get the workstations to recognise the new server IP?

Hi, Moving on to pastures new so here is a great opportunity for someone with the right skills. Chetham's is a great place to work but beware it is far from a normal school and has many challenges that you don't meet in other educational establishments. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions. https://chethamsschoolofmusic.com/job-vacancies/ ***The deadline has been extended for another week***

Smoothwall Gateway going down

@Mako we've had the said same problem with our soon to be replaced Smoothwall. Seems that the amount of Teams traffic is causing it to lock and only a reboot will fix the issue. OK our Smoothwall may be a tad under specked for the job in hand but the current level of support is a joke (2 weeks for a support call to be responded to, had to go to the account manager)- 26 replies

Interesting, was on a train full of students going through Nottingham and Sheffield heading for Manchester (live dangerously is my motto) and nothing for that journey.

Not great when your trying to champion SharePoint over shared network drives!

Just Samsung but will have a look in the logs

OK this has me totally stumped. Got a Samsung phone with no sim card as a test. enter Wi-Fi credentials and it did work. Left it on for a couple of hours and it couldn't connect it seemed to have forgotten the certificate setting. Changed that but would not authenticate. Forgot the network and re entered the settings and back on As a test restarted the phone and it failed to connect Forgot the certificate setting. Got it to forget the network, reset the Wi-Fi credentials and back on Rinse and repeat same problem. It seems to loose the certificate setting and will only re connect if you forget the SSID and reconfigure. Totally stumped.

Not had chance to try anything bt may try email address. Hi @FN-GM they are Samsung Galaxy's

We do the following settings: EAP = PEAP Phase 2 = MSCHAPV2 CA Cert = Don't Validate ID = school login Password = school password Ruckus authenticated via Smoothwall via Radius Works fine on my Samsung tablet but for phones it fails to authenticate but if I use my test credentials I get the same problem

Upgraded our Ruckus over the summer and since we've been back people with Samsung Phones haven't been able to join the network, apple and other android devices are fine. Anyone come across this before?
