Trailer has an age warning. Just finished Detroit: Become Human. Loved it! It's not perfect; I found it was sometimes hard to make a "good" decision, due to lack of clarity/visibility as to what the options were (or time); I suppose this adds to the "realism". As with many "dialogue choices" in games what the on screen choice was and what the characters then said often didn't fit, too. Plus I wish I'd had Markus's chatting up skills when I was a single guy; all it took was one chat with North and she was in love with me. Unless I've developed them in my old age . What really made the game for me was the amount of choices you can make (you can see a redacted decision tree at the end of each chapter) which include characters dying, and the way it draws you in emotionally. Even I ended up worried for a child, and as for the climax to Markus's story (or at least "my" ending), well at first I wasted good suffering and then, when things worked out, the relief that flooded through me was incredible. I'm amazed there hasn't been talk of a film as it's very cinematic. As long as they have the Markus strand much the way I played it, especially the end, and the Kara strand broadly similar (though with more of Luther and possibly a more upbeat ending than the one I got). I messed up Connor's strand badly, though. I think he should have been much more active towards the end, but I managed to get him terminated .

Just finished S3 of Star Trek: Lower Decks. The first two seasons were OK, but mainly got watched because they were Trek and were handy for those times when you want to watch something that won't be too long. Season 3 was a marked improvement, with much more funny moments, loads of Easter Eggs and, in the finale, a rousing conclusion that would have been great in a live action incarnation.

Palm Springs (Amazon Prime) Timeloop romcom with Andy Samberg, who has been stuck in the same wedding day for so long that he knows everything that will happen and has got around to sleeping with many of the guests. One day Cristin "The Mother" Milioti is dragged into the loop. They slowly begin to bond, but she really wants out... Funny and quite cleverly written - there are quite a few bits that make you thing "Huh?" on one loop and "Ah!" on a later one - but I didn't think it was worthy of the high critical praise it received. Neither of the main characters come across as particularly nice with Cristin M's character doing something particularly heinous. Obviously they both grow over the course of the loops. It did get me thinking about what happens to the people who aren't in the loop. This does get a throwaway line, but what do they experience? Is it a multiverse type thing where each action has consequences? Or do people just remember what happened "the first time around"? Does he disappear from "the next day" when he wakes up in the loop (he doesn't disappear when he goes to sleep)?

Maybe it was preceded others saying "If", "When" and "Why" and followed by, "How much have you got?". (At 1:29)

Had a quick play, password seemed to be fine but I had to use the above method to create the home folder. Solarwinds seemed to map the drive letter and the folder but not create it.

The Royal Treatment (Netflix) Izzy, sparky NYC Italian hairdresser, gets hired to do a prince's hair and ends up getting contracted for his upcoming wedding. Can you guess what happens? Despite the trailer making this look a bit like a low-budget TV Movie, this turned out to be a fairly polished and above-average romcom with a few properly funny bits. Not quite sure where Lavania is supposed to be, though. Though it sounds like it should be somewhere in Eastern Europe, the prince is played by Aladdin and most of the royal household have posh British accents apart from the aide out of "'Allo, 'Allo!" and the Kiwis (where it was filmed, hence driving on the proper side) who couldn't do the accent, while the "villagers" (literally on the "other side of the tracks" where it does look Movie Eastern European) go more for a "East End" accent. One of those films that it's very easy to pick holes in, but is OK if you or your partner is in the mood for a romcom.

Try the reagentc /enable command and the instructions the DfE provide. I used it on some I'd wiped and it seemed to bring back all the drivers. Then use Powershell or an app to back up the drivers from the restored machine.

You should get it. Mainly because I was looking at TVs earlier this year but, as the current is fine (just not 4K though I don't have a lot of 4K content), when things started to skyrocket I dropped the idea. At that price... A "real person" review would be good!

How was the USB created? My first thought would be that it's UEFI and the BIOS is set to legacy (or vice versa).

I'm a big fan of RSS feeds and, until recently, had been using Feedly. Unfortunately, it recently stopped loading the pictures on HKUD which makes scanning through the huge amount of posts/day take much longer - so I switched to Inoreader. If it wasn't for the this problem, I'd still use Feedly for various reasons. Inoreader is OK but it has its own annoyance in that, if I select "Mark all feeds as read", it seems to add already marked as read feeds back in. Any RSS experts who know how to fix either problem or who can recommend a similar app that imports OPML?

Samaritan (Amazon Prime) Years ago Granite City two superpowered brothers, the villainous Nemesis and the good Samaritan, fought each other to the death. Many believe that Samaritan is still out there, waiting to save the city once more. When a young boy thinks he has found Samaritan it sets up another power struggle between two titans. This is a bit like one of those cheap action movies with a vaguely interesting idea that you used to find buried away on late night TV or on the bottom shelf of the rental place, even down to the lack of much modern tech in Granite City. The budget on this is much higher, though one suspects most of it went to Sylvester Stallone. Kinda OK, and a bit better than the trailer suggests, but not a "must see".

The HBO partnership seems to be working out well for Sky; this is the third Sky show I've watched it the last few weeks that has actually been good. I was a bit worried that it was all going to be a metaphor for post-partum depression or something along those lines, but it retained its dark heart until a brief penultimate scene (apart from a bit of wrong-footing here and there). If you love babies probably not for you but if you're not a fan you'll probably recognise a fair bit of the dialogue.
