Surprised by the lack of Sandman love, but then I started reading it with Issue #1. Hoping that, if they do "specials" as part of S2 they do what should be the next two. I suspect that the "A Midsummer Night's Dream" would be animated for budgetary reasons (though would love a live-action version). As they did the possibly more contentious "Calliope", I also hope they won't skip "Facade" which has come in for a lot of criticism of late.

Finished Season 2 of The Lazarus Project. The season gets even more brain bending because, as well as the PL loops, we now have actual time travel mixed into the equation. It soon gets quite hard to keep track of who is on what timeline, but it remains consistently engaging and adds some nice humour such as George using the loops like replays in a game to learn his opponent's moves, George and Sara using time travel to find out whether they should be together and a great bit where Sam Troughton (Patrick's grandson), as a meek scientist, steps up to the plate. It's not perfect, the budget shows in some dodgy back projection and a somewhat poor armed battle towards the end, but well worth a look. Warning 1: Ep 6 ends on a "What the heck is going to happen?" cliffhanger then episode 7 explains how they got there so you might end up watching the final 3 eps in one sitting. Warning 2: There is a similar ending to the final ep, which will never be resolved due to cancellation, but it is quite a good place to leave it. Warning 3: Post credits sequence in the final ep kinda explains one thing, but will probably give you more questions.

I'm pretty sure that the GoT end was what GRRM was leading up to, though. Now he has even less incentive to knuckle down to writing as lots of people were very vocal about their dislike of it.

Good news: Season 2 confirmed. Bad news: It sounds like they'll be milking it as they're "not sure how long it will take to reach the conclusion".

That's kinda what I thought it would be like. The sort of thing that back in the days of only 3/4/5 channels, would have been something I'd have watched, but there's so much to choose from now that there's not enough time for it all.

I don't think whoever cut the trailer is either, as they seem to be hiding the fact that this is a musical. Second trailer looks better, but I find the songs too strident, so probably a home release for me. plus it's only "Part One".

It's a 4 hour drive to the property, so I won't be on site! Both my parents had mental health issues for some time before they passed and I was in charge of trying to make their finances balance (not easy due to care costs, even though they initially had more in the bank than I have ever had and their pensions saw more coming in than I have now) and, for various reasons, it's taken a couple of years to get to this stage. It's been like living under the Sword of Damocles for years and I just want it all over with. The garden chap used to work for the estate agent, so he should know what to do to make it desirable. I'm not expecting it to look like Capability Brown has risen from his grave to manage the project! Thanks for the advice, everyone.

Started Dead Boy Detectives on Netflix. Based on a Neil Gaiman comic series and Sandman-adjacent it's a bit like a better version of Lockwood & Co. Unfortunately, by the time we get to start it as "Bonus" Daughter #1 has actually decided to join us for it and spends ages before she actually sits down, Mme LeMarchand is already 1/2 asleep and slept through most of the 2 eps we have seen (I drifted off a couple of times, too but this isn't a reflection on the quality of the show). Not a patch on Sandman, but OK so far.

So no to Rotavator. Might also need some fencing sorted. Thanks for the confirmation.

I've posted this on here before, but the LA bought podcasting software licenses for all schools many years ago (back when it was going to be huge for the second or third time but never took off). Teachers all went off to learn the principles. but were trained on Audacity. As a consequence I had to install Audacity and the paid-for software never got used. To be fair, the TA who needed the video-editing software quickly got to grips with ShotCut.
