  1. I've been seeing that, too.
  2. Finished Nightsleeper on iPlayer. A sleeper train from Scotland is "hackjacked" and turned into a missile heading for London. One of those somewhat preposterous shows that you watch on the edge of your seat, desperate to see what happens next. Not sure later revelations made much sense, but it hurtles along fast enough for you not to start thinking about such things until after the end. Not sure how they can get the announced second season given where people were at the end of this one. Started Nobody Wants This on Netflix. Romcom about a podcaster and a Rabbi who start to fall for each other. The first two episodes are amusing, but I'm not sure that it's a series rather than a film.
  3. Thanks. I'll try some local schools. The LA firewall/filtering can be... difficult.
  4. If anyone has Disney and can't find the Comanche version, it's in the "Extras". That said, apparently it's just dubbed as it was filmed in English.
  5. School is currently trying to launch some reports, but the pages are showing as unavailable or we're getting errors like the below. Anyone else getting this?
  6. These seem to be back in 24H2.
  7. They need to provide an easy way to customize it (not just revert to the "everything" menu). There's stuff I'd like to have on right click and other stuff I'd be happy to only see on shift+right click.
  8. Just found 5TB for £105: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07VP5X239 Or should I put up with the faff of plugging/unplugging a non-portable (don't want to leave it plugged in as I don't get much console time) and get 8TB for £130/131? https://www.amazon.co.uk/WD-Elements-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B07FNK6QMT https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CQJBSQL
  9. Surely that would be "justifiable homicide"?
  10. After a 4 or 5TB external portable drive for PS games if anyone spots one.
  11. We use Mosyle free for 62 iPads. It seems to be <30 now, so you should still be OK. Not sure it does all of that: school too tight for paid apps, but the free apps work and the payment is via ASM so shouldn't be a problem, not sure about the email bit, and there is a built in "locate" thing. Worth a look - you may even get a Mosyle person who'll do the initial heavy lifting. I just use my PC, ASM and Mosyle with rare forays into iTunes to reset the odd pad. I suspect some of the other players, like JAMF, will also offer some sort of free tier.
  12. It's a bit sad that this and "Wild Robot" are the two movies I looking forward to the most in the near future.
  13. Just noticed: None of them have UPNs, but trying to edit the pupil to add that data fails.
  14. Thanks, but all 3 are linked to classes and can be seem in the classes!
  15. I found an email from Apple in Sept that may be relevant: Did you accept all of those?
  16. Rude gesture in video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ml5VsUElEM The latest "cop with a quirk"/"'tec with a twist" show has gone down surprisingly well in the US. Due here on Disney this "Autumn".
  17. Originally made by Disney, who then got cold feet, this is due on Amazon over here soon (possibly the end of the month?). As they haven't bothered to release a trailer yet, here's the Aussie one. (The other currently available one is the "previously on"... from the second episode of the French broadcast). Bit like a Sci-Fi/SyFy production from a few years back with a higher budget, but watchable.
  18. Does anyone who uses EdShed know what constitutes an "unlinked" pupil and/or how to "link" them. My 3 rogue pupils are bugging me!
  19. Believe me, I've tried pushing for that. Alas, teachers want laptops to use for shopping, Facebook, personal use preparing work off site.
  20. Thank you. I will see if I can get some sense out of the head first rather than waste your time. I'm sure that if I float £30k they'll just want to buy new points. Ideally the whole place needs gutting and redesigning from scratch as the vast majority of the network is 20+ years old and room usage is very different to the time of installation (no points in most classes). I'd be surprised if they'd even buy up-to-date switches, as a few more APs is much more likely to be within budget.
  21. One of my sites wants a cost for a complete network overhaul. I know they will never go for it once they see the price so I'm reluctant to get people out to do surveys/quotes. Anyone done c 8 classrooms + maybe 5 more rooms, complete rewire, new switches and new APs so I can get a rough idea?
  22. Finished The Umbrella Academy on Netflix. The shortened final season could have done with a bit more room to breathe, but was still great. The finale certainly felt "bigger" than normal for the show. I'd hoped for a happier ending, but the one we got was very moving. A post credits scene does hint at a potential reset button that I hope won't get pressed as it would take away from the ending.
  23. Lift (Netflix) Kevin Hart's merry band of art thieves are tasked with stealing a crate of gold by Interpol. The catch? It has to be done mid-flight. One of Netflix's slick thrillers with pretty locations and mainly pretty people. Fun, but forgettable.
