This sounds like a problem I had recently. School wanted the free version of MS OneNote 2016 installed onto PCs but it could not connect Online through our proxy setup in Internet Options. I allowed all the necessary websites access through the proxy but it still wouldn't connect online. I then tried importing IE settings into WinHTTP, rebooted the PC and it was then able to connect online and I could use OneNote. Microsoft products ignoring Internet Options connection settings for Online access? good job Microsoft.

Alton Towers operator Merlin fined £5m over Smiler crash - BBC News Quote from the article: "Bernard Thorogood, prosecuting, said workers had not been been given a system to follow which would safely deal with the issue. He said engineers had not read or seen the ride's operating instructions. He also pointed out there were estimated winds on the day of the crash of 45mph but the manufacturer's manual stated the ride should not be operated at wind speeds above 34mph." If that is true, Merlin got of lightly with a £5 million fine.

They spent £1.65 million on extended support, they still have 27,000 PCs still to be updated and they are not updating them to Windows 10. No wonder theres not enough Police Officers these days when these kind of decisions are being made.

Yeah, the inf must point to the other files. The rest of the driver files are in the same folder as the .inf files.

I did it with a .bat file as a startup script in Group Policy. Hosted the files on a file server in the school. The script will check to see if a file exists, if it doesn't then create file, copy drivers to PC and install drivers. if exist C:\Temp\IntelNetworkDriverUpdatedv19-3.txt goto end break>"C:\Temp\IntelNetworkDriverUpdatedv19-3.txt" xcopy /y /q /s /i "%~dp0Drivers" "C:\Temp\Intel Network Adapter Driver v19.3" pnputil -i -a "C:\Temp\Intel Network Adapter Driver v19.3\Winx32\e1c6232.inf" pnputil -i -a "C:\Temp\Intel Network Adapter Driver v19.3\Winx32\e1d6232.inf" pnputil -i -a "C:\Temp\Intel Network Adapter Driver v19.3\Winx32\e1e6232.inf" pnputil -i -a "C:\Temp\Intel Network Adapter Driver v19.3\Winx32\e1k6232.inf" pnputil -i -a "C:\Temp\Intel Network Adapter Driver v19.3\Winx64\e1c62x64.inf" :end

About time they released something like this. Fresh Windows 7 SP1 install needs at least 200 updates downloaded.

The way I do it is I download the Windows Offline file from here, latest version is Java 8 Update 91: https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Start the installer but don't start the install process. Go to the following location: C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Oracle\Java You should see a folder called jre1.8.0_91, you'll find the MSI in there. Edit: ach beaten by 1 minute
