    Hi everyone, I am having real trouble with this - our old forms were shocking and couldn't be filled on a computer because they were essentially word documents with HUGE tables on them, made of tiny little cells etc - so we decided to re-do them as fillable pdf's. Now I am beginning to regret this idea, because it doesn't seem consistent. I created in Adobe acrobat X - and tested it could be filled in on foxit as well. But other people can't fill it in - some can, some can't. Tell me guys - is it worth bothering? It just seems so nice to have a well presented pdf form to be filled in, but I think it is the Emerald city I will never reach because there is no standardisation with pdf readers.

    Thanks everyone for the advice - I will remember that oaleksejuk - It seems to be ok for now, so hopefully will stay like that!

    Not sure what to do with this one - it loads Windows, then says 'Please wait...' with the spinner next to it - as expected. Only it takes about 3 minutes to get to the log on screen. I have readded to the domain, no difference - any clues? It is a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop. Thanks guys!

    Problem solved. Turns out you can only print once, so because they had already been printed it wouldn't let us re-print - but wasn't telling us why. So there is a column which tells you you have printed - clear that so it is blank then should be able to reprint.

    Well I have looked and there doesn't appear to be a microfuse near the power inlet. I guess they have had their day - will take the memory etc out future use and recycle them. Thanks for advice. The one with 'power' is out of warranty. Well they all are.

    Thanks I will do that. I have one more, which when plugged in, the LED for power comes on, but doesn't appear to power up (although they are practically silent so difficult to tell). Either way the monitor is not picking up anything. The LED won't go off at all, no matter how you try, unless you take the power cable out.

    Hoping someone can advise. I have created a new job application form template in Acrobat X. It is all fine, I can fill in the forms etc and save it. When I email it to my colleague to send out to applicants, she tries to edit a couple of fields (ie job title etc.) and it won't let her. She can type in it, but as soon as she selects another field, the previous one empties. Does she need to have Acrobat X as well? And if so, I imagine if we roll this out to potential applicants, they will also not be able to fill in the form? Are there anyways around this? It seems quite a useless function if no-one else can use it! Thanks

    I have a couple of these machines here which are not doing anything - literally, no LED's lighting up, no power etc. The power cables are fine so does anyone else have any ideas? Or is it time to just bin them? Thanks!

    Hi! I am Samantha, just started working in an IT department in a secondary school UK. A good friend recommended this site as the go to place for when I don't know what I am doing! So I imagine I will be here fairly regularly!
