ConfigMgr is no longer part of the Systems Center suite. It's now part of Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Do you have OVS-ES or similar? If so, you should already be covered.

You'd hope so. However, given how some schools prioritize spending...

Where did you get the Logitech ergonomic keyboard from? Whenever I've gone looking for that (not for a while now, admittedly) I've only ever been able to find US or DE layout ones, not GB

Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)
Norphy replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
My son's school has had six members of staff and 3 children test positive. They now have six classes out of eighteen self-isolating because they're all close contacts. One of the classes that's closed is in the same year as my son, but luckily for him, his class is still open. The school had been lucky up to this point as they hadn't had any bubble closures until the beginning of this month. Now they've closed off a third of the damned school and by the sounds of it, this is far from a unique situation. I'm sorry, completely eliminating restrictions next week is complete insanity. The country is clearly nowhere near ready for it and we're going to end up like the Dutch where they've had to re-introduce restrictions. -

Dragon naturally speaking (what version should i get)
Norphy replied to round2it's topic in How do you do....it?
I'm not sure it's worth the effort any more. Nuance got bought out by Microsoft just recently. You have to wonder how much longer Naturally Speaking is for this world. I expect their technology will get rolled into Office and Windows before too much longer and the standalone product will get discontinued. -

I don't know much about Julia Hartley-Brewer (I vaguely recognise the name but couldn't pick her out in a lineup) but I'm not even remotely surprised that the dangerous waste of skin that is Laurence Fox has said something like that. He's been in the news for the last year decrying the alleged travesty of justice that is a facemask. He even built a large part of his London mayoral election campaign around it. So yes, disturbed by it. Disgusted too. Disappointed even. Not surprised. -

Things that could have been improved before being approved...

In all fairness, that's not completely stupid. A lot of meetings rooms where I work have been (temporarily at least) repurposed for people so that they take in a laptop and hold Teams/Zoom meetings so that they can do so away from noisy shared offices. -

Our outbound emails keep going to junk folders

There are plenty of how-to guides out there, but if you haven't heard those particular terms before I would pass it up to the support company. Also bear in mind that if you have other services which email on behalf of you (Examples: SurveyMonkey, helpdesk, third party mail filter), they will configuring for it as well. -

I don't know if this has been posted here or not, but what the hey: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/windows-lifecycle-and-servicing-update/ba-p/2493043 Windows 11 is going to have an annual feature update cadence instead of semi-annual. Enterprise and Education builds will be supported for three years from release, the others for two years. There's going to be a Windows 10 21H2 but who knows if there's going to be anything after that? Although given that they're committed to supporting Windows 10 SAC until 2025, it makes a certain amount of sense for a 22H1 and 22H2 release to be developed, as the end of support for a hypothetical 22H2 would fit in with that timeframe.
