I really wanted to put a Mr Mackey gif here. I hope you know how much willpower it took to not do that!

It's not a question of permissions. The issue is that Windows doesn't let you have two SMB sessions signed in with two different users from a single Windows user session to the same address. This is apparently by design. Reading further into it, it's a client side thing rather than a server side thing, I got that bit wrong so apologies about that. According to this Microsoft article, you can get around this restriction by connecting to the server using different methods, i.e. use an IP Address for one connection, use the DNS name for another, use the NETBIOS name for a third. That's probably worth a try too.

Does this server host your user area share, or another share that’s automatically mapped when you log on? If so, your standard user account is already logged onto the server but it doesn’t have access to the c$ share. When you try to access the c$ share, the server asks for credentials but then says ’Hold on, someone is already connected to this server from this user session, I’m not going to let you in’. The only way you’re going to get that share is to disconnect any mapped drives, close any SMB sessions from the server side then try again.

Isn't it the quality of the sticky labels that's the issue, rather than the printer printing to them?

It's interesting that it's only Lana Wachowski directing it instead of both Lana and Lilly. Apparently Lilly said that it felt like going backwards.

That looks like it could have potential. Can't be any worse than the first two sequels at least.

There is a feature in Exchange Online which blocks users from being able to send email when they send too many emails in a time period. It usually triggers either when a user sends a load of emails via Mail Merge or when their account gets compromised and it's used to send a load of spam. You can view which accounts have been blocked from sending either by going to the Restricted Users page in the Defender Security Portal or by running the Get-BlockedSenderAddress cmdlet in the Exchange Online EXO PowerShell Module. The trouble is, these only show the users who are currently blocked. I have been asked by my employer to produce a report on who has been blocked in the last n days. I've looked at the reports in the Defender portal and there isn't one that does exactly that. I'm wondering if this kind of data is kept and if so, how I can extract it? Cheers, Norphy

Is mail merge available in the online version of O365?
Norphy replied to cheaptonersucks's topic in Cloud Services
Not only that, but I'm willing to bet that the feature isn't used heavily enough to justify putting it into the online version. Don't forget, Microsoft gather a lot of metrics about the usage of their software and they don't do it for the LOLs. They know how heavily a feature is used so that they know whether it's worth putting in the resources to develop it further. -

Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)
Norphy replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
It might not be a question of availability, there are other reasons you may legitimately not be able to get the vaccine, such as an allergy to one of its ingredients. -

I have the CB of Office installed on my new work laptop and yes, Mail Merge is available in full fat Word. -
Sue Perkins confirmed as new host for Just a Minute
Norphy replied to Norphy's topic in General Chat
The first episode with Sue Perkins as the permanent host is now on BBC Sounds. I listened to it last night. Considering it's only her second go at it, I think she did pretty well. It's a good start for her. There isn't quite the rapport between host and contestants that there was with Nicolas Parsons but that's to be expected and will most likely come in time. She's not Nicolas Parsons but I don't think it'll take long for her to make her mark on the show and settle in. -
