Why not give the Gerbil some alcohol? That sorts out steps 2 and 3 together. I hear they like Holsten Gerbills.

It was a 50 year loan, so I could have been in charge and it would have been paid off. (With 6 years throught with no payment) The debt from WW1 is still unpaid, but this is a history lesson on it's own.

US School used student laptop webcams to spy on them at school & home

I'd be doing hard labour by now if they'd done that to me in my youth. -
New cars cost a fortune in this country. Count yourself lucky you live over the pond.

It's not so much the brake lights that annoy me (though they do, especially at night), but the fact that some idiots roll back and forth. I had a lorry roll back into me last month even though I was a good distance back from it and was pressing the horn down constantly for about 10 seconds.

Surely you meant to say people just don't care?

I'd rather sit a day long exam than have to answer questions about my greatest achievements or what my weaknesses are. I've always considered them to be lazy questions. I'd love it if they always just asked simple questions like those above.

Made all the worse by landlords converting family homes into flats catering for 4-5 "young professionals", all with cars.

n00b Network Manager Qualifications!
AyatollahPies replied to olivarrr's topic in Courses and Training
MCSE only exists for 2003 now. They have changed the format for Server 2008. I imagine most HR departments will never understand this though. -
Universities are crumbling, secret database reveals

Often overlooked as being important. We all need somewhere pleasant to send texts messages or update our Facebook profile. -
n00b Network Manager Qualifications!
AyatollahPies replied to olivarrr's topic in Courses and Training
At what age does one meet the criteria where 2 years experience warrants a NM position? I fail to see how age matters. If i were you olivarrr, I'd go for the NM role. They know you can do it. As for training, whilst they may not have enough in their budget to send you on a course, I'm sure they could afford a training manual or two. Then you just need a few Virtual Machines and you can learn an awful lot. -
Amen to you!

I keep hearing this word "handbrake". I've heard of it, and use one frequently, but I'm pretty sure the majority of drivers I have the misfortune of pulling up behind don't know what one is.

Probably because I'd estimate that 99% of computer users do not need 64-bit. How many folk do you know that just browse the internet, update their Facebook profile (every 5 mins) and shop online? A celeron with 1GB ram is more than sufficient for this task. I need it for my 8GB home PC though. :-)

Are we in East Germany?

I installed one of these in a school yesterday. Magicard Enduro Duo ID card printer with magstripe encoder (3633-0022) - AM Labels It's called a Magicard Enduro. The results were pretty impressive, even from a simple template created in Publisher. Bit pricey mind you!

The country is bankrupt. There isn't any money left. Even the money they keep borrowing will run out soon. Simple solution, don't vote Labour.

You are not alone, although it also reminds one of what the word was an acronym for during WW2. It would probably be too risque to post it here though.

Darn those pesky full stops, or periods as our American friends call them. Are you my Dad?

A naughty one? Sounds dodgy to me, or should I say, it sounds like it could be used very easily for dodgy means.

I'll tell you what has to give. MP's being able to rent out their houses. Why else has nothing been done about it yet? Pigs and Troughs that's why. It's not in their interest. I have no problem with the idea of there being landlords, as there will always be people that will never be able to afford to purchase a house, but thanks to Liebour and Mr Brown raiding private pension funds, every man and his Dog suddenly took it upon themselves to become landlords. Fine for the baby boom generation, but for the majority under 30 (and some above) we have been royally shafted, and we shouldn't put up with it.

But they will be the first against the wall come the revolution.

Same boat, but no longer bothered about it all. Spent far too long getting depressed. Now renting a house that I wouldn't be able to afford to buy (due to the ridiculous increases over the past decade), whilst still able to save towards my deposit. I'm lucky in that my landlord seems like a nice chap. There are some that have the attitude of doing you a favour by letting you rent their house. Remember, renting is only throwing money away, if you can afford to buy for less, and that doesn't just mean lower monthly payments.

I think having CEOP accreditation would work a treat for such sites. Quite why the other staff at Sparklebox haven't already created their own new site and asked for the likes of CEOP to accredit them to reassure users is puzzling me.

[UK] Government To Set Up Its Own Cloud Computing System
AyatollahPies replied to 6Foot2's topic in IT News
Considering Liebour will be booted out of government in a few months, I think any decisions would have to be delayed until after the GE.
