Does anyone else use PaperCut?
brownbread replied to shadowx's topic in Network and Classroom Management
PaperCut is a cheaper and effective solution compared with other software solutions I've come across. -
we used these guys, http://www.e-sol.co.uk I think they specialise in education.

Could always go with Canon Photocopiers, pretty much the top dog
-
No not at all. I some times create PS, and PCL drivers pointed at the same IP. If you wanna just add a driver you can go to advanced and add it. I do this for pcs running x86 and x64

Alternative is Utax. Simular pricing but cheaper cost per click. Utax dealer that can prob give you a like 4 like quote try googling utax photocopiers company called esol

Hi Richard it must be a fault with the printer then. Does it every produce this page when its off the network?
-
i suppose some people dont check around or do their homework. I imagine alot of them also re sign after a yr!!

that dealer is famous for doing those kinds of deals i believe.

i would check the oki site to see if there is a newer version. Do you not have a printer/copier company that looks after all your devices. They should be solving this issue
-
I have asked around here and somebody might have a solution, i'll keep you posted. I do remember having a simular issue with a oki printer always ending a print job with tens of pages with numbers. I later found out it was the driver. Strangely the driver had worked fine for around a year, then suddenly one day this problem happened. Have you downloaded the latest drivers? or changed driver type?

I'm having very odd issues with Outlook 2011 on the mac. I connect to a exchange server and its seems to be working fine but when i receive to many emails in one thread (same subject) outlook crashes. Also sometime when i launch outlook around 10 open and i have to close 9 outlook screens. Any one experience this? Or know of a fix
-
So Richard. The oki printer is printing correctly but every now and then it is self generating what looks to be a specific test print out?

Canon C2620 Photocopier. Printing multiple booklet copies?
brownbread replied to dany2010's topic in Hardware
yes your right. If you have a post script license i would use the postscript driver, if not try the latest pcl5e. Not the PCL6 -
have you done a self test on the printer? Also try speaking to your printer provider they should assist you.

Canon C2620 Photocopier. Printing multiple booklet copies?

The UFR driver was developed by Canon so that should solve any driver related problem. Make sure you have the latest driver as well. -
Guess it depends on how critical back up is to your business. Worth looking at your business model or infrastructure. There may be other areas where you can streamline and save costs to which you can get a better back up system.

Papercut - Print Management
brownbread replied to ste1988's topic in Network and Classroom Management
papercut is pretty good. If you combine it with a managed print service then you should be able to drive down the monthly costs. Who do you guys go to? -
what you paying per copy or print? Best way is to figure out your volume then see what pence your paying for colour and mono. If your printing in a school then you should be on a much lower cost than private companies. I think 4.5-5p colour is a good price for schools.
