The only error I can see it that poster (considering I have no clue what the stuff on the right means) is that its a poster for the film Lucy and no where does it say that lol

Seems strange that... Do you have your browser setup to not use a proxy server for local addresses? I don't understand how your council filter could even ban anything that was internal to your network - unless you have it setup rather strangely. I could understand that certain files in the dans gaurdian page might get banned (as they probably contain words that need to be filtered out) but why would your external council filter even see these?

Nope sadly not. I have been paying an extra £19 for each license

Do you have any google management console licenses for your google apps domain? You have to purchase 1 per device that you add.

Can you supply any screenshots of this? It doesn't seem to make sense that the council filter will be blocking something internal to your network?

The first thing I would try is adding the site to the exception site list in Dans Guardian - it will then ignore any issue with the site. See if that stops your issues when using Dans Guardian.

We tried quite a few chromebooks - the acer ones, samsung and dell. The fastest nicest ones by a long shot where the Dell 4Gb models. We have 240 of them at the moment and they do seem to be used. Just make sure if you are getting quite a few to also cost in the price for the google management console license if you need to manage them. (it is very handy!)

Out of interest how much did these cost? Looking for a none mobile - 10 unit charging / storing system at the moment.

The biggest question as always with these sorts of threads... What exactly is it you are planning on playing? Many PC games have very varied requirements. Ive found that if I normally spend around £600-700 I can get a fairly nice gaming rig - but it wont play fantastic with super modern games (especially newer mmo's) I always check out Value Gaming PCs, Cheap Gaming Computers & Cheap Gaming - 3XS (click PC's rather than bundles) to see what they spec - and then adjust to suit my preferences.

If i had the choice again with our A3 printer we have for technology I would buy laser!! Even though they are silly money The amount of hassle (and wasted ink) we go through when we have to unclog the inkjet because it hasn't been used for a month!

We went per core for ease of licensing... but with 16 cores it ended up rather expensive lol

We have 310 kindles registered on one account It can make the account page a little slow (and caused us weeks of headache when they switched from the old account page to the new one) You can have a book you have purchased on upto 6 kindles (unless the specific book states otherwise)

240 Devices, 240 licences - just yesterday setup our first 30 that have gone into a classroom!

Hi DeeGee, Is the functionality to hide/unhide and make read only still there? (Just not using the quick tick boxes?)

Our school has approx 1500 students Our sims.mdf is 5.86gb We are running Sims on Windows Server 2012 and SQL 2012. We also run the InTouch service on the same server. The server has 2 x 8 Core Opteron 4386 Processors (16 Cores total) and 64Gb Ram On average the processor usage is between about 20-50% and the total server ram usage hits about 19Gb.

Patch 20009 seemed to sort the 1880 error for us

We have escalated a call with support with reference to the results not showing (it pulls in a result of U - but not a P) The correct result does show for the student in Tools > Statutory Return Tools > Reconcile Post 16 Courses & Exam Results (this creates an excel spreadsheet with all relevant course and result information in) - and it does show the correct course and results. We mainly just wanted to get the census sent in (as its getting very close to closing date) - and not having to fully complete results or outcomes will help.

Hi, Silly question - but I have had conflicting information about this. We still haven't sent our census in yet - and we are only generally stuck on getting the results to show in the learning aims panel. I have read a few bits of information that state that - results and outcomes are no longer recorded? Can anyone confirm this?

I haven't noticed logon slow downs... but I am interested in what you do instead. Where exactly is it that you create the Documents folder? And what do you use to create it? Sounds like a better idea than mine

Use File Server Resource Manager > File Screening Management - Ban saving of desktop.ini to their areas Works a treat - but does spam the event logs a bit every time desktop.ini is being saved lol

Bought the Archeum Founders pack ages ago. Have just yesterday had my refund agreed. Was way to much PvP in it for me (and some of the PvP flagging is so completely strange to make gameplay very irritating) Doubt I will play it ever again - even when its full f2p

Really keep wanting to play this... as it does look good... and seems like a great scifi storyline But I really just cant switch to playing an fps with a controller after all these years on mouse and keyboard! Lets hope a pc version is in the works and coming soon!!! PS. Have been enjoying playing Firefall lately - good for a casual pickup and blast game - and its scifi!

I had a supplier just the other day offer me a clearance price on some samsung chromebooks. My thought at the time was that they were clearing them for a newer model.... Lets hope that is the case

We have one of each of the Dell Chromebook 11 (4Gb Version), Acer C720 and Samsung XE303. We haven't actually used them with students yet as we are researching chromebooks at the moment. The teacher in charge of the research preferred the build quality and the speed of dell one over the others. If you are buying in bulk - make sure you push your suppliers a fair bit as they can come up with some very keen pricing on these!

Derby, East Midlands here... Neither will load in IE 11. Just the swirly circular icon then eventually comes up with - An error has occurred.
