802.3af / 1.24w to 2.62w is the phone spec.

Can anyone see any potential issues with having this switch to run 10 POE phones? Or, can anyone suggest a suitable alternative? Netgear 24 Port POE Smart Switch (FS728TLP-100EUS) - www.misco.co.uk Edit: Just realised only 12 ports are POE. So open to suggestions for other switches with full POE really.

Agreed. These or Vidahost - they're all part of the same big company so it makes no difference who you pick really.

Have you thought about maybe a company like @SchoolsBroadband or Exa who can provide a filtered internet connection? That way, all you would have to pay for is your connection going in an the access points, and not have to worry about further costs for onsite filtering? At least in the beginning.

Can I get a new invite? My Testflight ended.

P2V RM CC4 Server Infrastructure?
Edu-IT replied to LazyD's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
From memory during any migration work etc RM put it on P2V so it does work. -
I found the naming limiting. It was always Mr J. Bloggs and you couldn't have it any other way, such as Mr Joe Bloggs.

Do your LA not produce guidance for end of year? Ours do. I'd be surprised if this was unique to our LA. I'd certainly look in to training again - maybe reach out to a local school who may be willing to help. Are you new to the post?
-
In FMS / SIMS you should be able to access them under the help menu? You may find your local authority runs training sessions which you may find useful too.

I'd say just support email address as you may get personal emails which don't need tickets. If anything is sent to your personal inbox that is support related then you can either log it on Spiceworks yourself or send it back advising that it needs to go to the support address.

I'd be hesitant about using attendance for behaviour, surely it just complicates things? There's already behaviour management within SIMS which would be better suited to this?

Paxton Net2 Pro - any known annoyances/design issues from an IT POV?
Edu-IT replied to pete's topic in Physical Security
I doubt it in the same way that fitting a lock to a door wouldn't? As long as its compliant in that it has break glass for emergency etc. A certified person will be doing the fire alarm integration part? -

If you are having 5 doors done at once I'd expect some reduction on labour. If parts for each door are about £500 I wouldn't be paying £600 labour per door. Depends on the doors though and whether they need any adjustments in terms of existing fittings etc. -

http://www.net2-solutions.com/en/products/ Good for linking to AD. -
You would still need the POE connecting to your core network. What do you mean by too far, physically to do or cable length?

Charged for changes? Sounds to me like that's a company managing your website as opposed to external hosting which will give you full access to do what you like with your own website, for free.
-
Any particular reason you chose those handsets, which seem quite costly, in comparison to some of the others. Just curious.

I'd assume its because the photocopier is marked as default in the RMMC so is taking priority. Remove the photocopier mapping from that machine in the RMMC and add the photocopier locally to the computer too?

Is this your only backup? If so why not student docs? They are just as important especially if exam work.

Yes Capita will need to release then and suspect you'll have to confirm with them that Solus3 is setup ready. Going forward you should then get them without having to ask.
-
The updates will have to be released to you before you can download them into SOLUS3 and subsequently push them out to clients. Are you sure the updates have been released to your site by, I assume, SCOMIS?
