I caught about 5 mins of the program. Did they say that the nhs's n3 network wasn't affected, just unpatched pc's? Why did it affect multiple NHS organisations then, how were they targeted?

This is the group policy to disable switch user, is it set anywhere? 'Hide entry points for Fast User Switching' Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon 'switch user' / 'other user' should be on the bottom left of the logon screen if this is not enabled.

Just had the latest firmware for Kyocera 4551ci and 3051ci installed. Scan to folder is working now with SMBv1 disable on the fileserver.

As far as I can tell, the issue has been resolved for us, all sites working normally this morning.

If the folder your scanning to is a subfolder, the folders above need to have 'list folder contents' for the SCAN user. That's if you have set the write permission only on that folder.

I there a way to jump directly to a setting in an already created Group Policy Object? Currently, I just open Group Policy Management Editor and drill down through all the folders till I get where I want and make the change Ideally I would like to jump straight from the Group Policy Management settings tab, as that's where you can see all the settings currently applied to that GPO. Anyone have any tips?

Thanks @timbo343 So does that mean I can run Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableSMB1Protocol $false On Windows 10 as suggested in the microsoft guidance here even though it only specifies to do this for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012?

This is what I have done also, but when I run Get-SmbServerConfiguration | Select EnableSMB1Protocol on a Windows 10 machine it returns True Does this mean Windows 10 can still act a a SMBv1 host?

Rather than use Security filtering, you could use Item-level targeting, users wont be able to see the drive in This PC unless they are a member of the security group allocated. Might be worth testing. In the properties of each drive map, under the common tab you can select item-level targeting and add a rule for Security Group, remember to change the item option to 'Or' if your targeting multiple groups.

Does this only affect a single user? Are they in an OU that has all 3 policies applied to it? If your doing item level targeting using security groups, why not just have one group policy, and put it in a OU that applies to all users.

If it is of any help Windows 10 was released on 30/07/2015 I think, so more likley to be related to windows doing something funny rather than a virus, but thats just a guess.

You've most probably already checked, you haven't acidentally added another group or user to that group?

Are you/other techies the only people to have NTFS full control on the source folder?

I dont even know if that is a proper method, its just what I always do, I find it easier to visualise the binary first.
