[news] Guys spends £300 and gets a picture of a MacBook
DanTheLacky replied to abillybob's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
If it clearly stated in the description that it was a picture, then its his own fault and should not receive a penny back. -
That sucks, at least you have the cam footage, can see it is completely his fault.

I do love a happy ending ha ha, congratulations.

I'm quiet glad, was hoping it would be 2016 instead of 15, Wanna try and complete Server 2012 msca before next edition is released for too long.

I knew that car salesman was lying! We do the same here, we did have a fairly able teaching assistant in music that we passed our knowledge (and the instructions to the PA and lighting board) onto but when she left we seemed to have it fall back onto the IT department. Not many people want to learn or want the responsibility so they pretend they are not capable.

Doesn't matter how hard they are to break will just make the kids try harder to get their desired results. Work out what teachers are in the room when the they are getting damaged and then name and shame them, they will soon work out themselves who are vandalising things or better yet prevent it.

Lidl to do Lightning cable for £4.99 - 11/12/14
DanTheLacky replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
After my cable started to look like it was going to kick the bucket about a year ago I bought a couple of cheap ones off ebay, so I could leave one at work and one at home, they both worked for a few weeks then stopped, I bought another one from a different ebay seller (Claiming they was compatable with the latest Ios), didnt work at all after a few days of constantly hearing it vibrate on the desk to indicate it was charging. Spent about £6-7 on cheap cables that always throw up the "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone" and not actually charge my phone, half way to buying one for £15 off apple haha. Should of just bought the genuine one too start with (or not got an apple phone boo). -
Finished the last of my christmas shopping this weekend, just had to buy a few baby clothes and a voucher for someone, done the rest of it weeks ago (had a hard time last year still paying it off now so start months ago this year). As for being selfish, just getting a few ps4 games, looking into getting hooked up to the net at home (finally, seems like I have been offline for years), nothing overly geekly, few marvel films on dvd..... bought my son a trampoline, think I'm looking forward to that more than anything that I am getting myself haha.

Can anyone recommend some courses for me?
DanTheLacky replied to thepridster's topic in Courses and Training
I'm doing the MCITP 70-685 at the moment (Windows 7 Enterprise), to be honest I would go with the MSCE server 2012 or something like that, maybe one of the Comptia certifications? -
I was hoping my socks would arrive today as mine got wet on my way into work (and by wet I mean they would have been dryer if I had dunked them in the bath).

I do hate DLC unfortunately I was always one of the ones that would pay the extra £5-10 2 or 3 times in the games life to get the extra's. Even in call of duty when alot of the time I use to turn off the DLC maps because i couldn't get a steady game or partied up with people who didn't have the DLC I still bought it incase I wanted to play it. Now I no longer have the internet this is not an issue

For Gamers ... Best Game out or coming soon for PS4?
DanTheLacky replied to connor_ict's topic in General Chat
I played the new fifa the other day, wasn't too impressed to be honest, it didn't disappoint but couldn't tell any improvements either (granted I only played couple of games). I quiet like the look of destiny too, if you haven't played infamous, give it a go, not as good as the previous ones on ps3 but pretty good none the less. -

Maybe he was looking for the horsepital.... *waits for applause* I'll show myself out.... -
Probably your best option in my opinion, RAID 5 is really frowned upon and out of date in the professional world, I know alot of the time though in schools we dont have the budget to do the most current and secure things to do.
