  1. I love the gremlins theme tune! Gremlins Theme Song
  2. Has anyone else noticed the little lego man head with a cowboy hat on the youtube logo today? Just clicked it and it took me to https://www.youtube.com/user/theyearinreviewUK?feature=inp-yo-rxu I liked it! Although I didn't know that many of the people in it, glad to see Rhett and Link and Pentatonix:)
  3. Mad World (The Gary Jules version) was Christmas #1 in 2003. Not very christmassey and doesn't regularly appear on Now that's what I call Christmas compilations, but a good song nonetheless https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N3N1MlvVc4 REM had a good stab at it too, but please, please, please don't try the Susan Boyle version...
  4. That's an entirely different issue!
  5. My favourite has already been mentioned in this thread: Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade. http://youtu.be/0A8KT365wlA?t=3m3s
  6. I'm just editing the music for the Christmas quiz. This year we're doing Christmas next lines. I thought it was a good idea until I had to start compiling it! A couple of hours work I thought...
  7. I'm not sure I understand what you want to achieve, but if you redirect the start menu to a custom one of your design, you can put Chrome in the startup folder and it will launch everytime someone using that mandatory profile logs in. Or you could simply add it to your logon script. Let us know a bit more detail and someone will be able to help more...
  8. Thanks @Little-Miss but I'm slightly disappointed to wasn't more to do with the soundtrack to Doom, the game Got me through my student days...null modem cable anyone???
  9. Tone generator is the way forward. I love mine and yes it does make nee naw sounds like a 70s fire engine (I was born in the 70s!) It came with my ByteBrothers PocketCAT 200 cable tester which is also brilliant. Now, tell me more about this doom song...?
  10. Its Miley Cirus - she can stay in the box as far as I'm concerned!
  11. Is the internet broke? Not a single guess at the picture behind number 10? OK, well I'll be first then with Kirsty MacColl and Shane MacGowan from the Pogues. I'd link to it on youtube but its a bit sweary!
  12. What do you do with all that? Ours is a far more 'acceptable' http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3971334728 (20 down, 9 up)

    Teacher PC's

Ours are 90% Fujitsu Core i3, 4GB, Win 7 pro from a couple of years back when we bought a job lot. I've only had one PSU fail in that time and that was replaced under warranty. Older ones are being replaced with VeryPC Broadleaf which everyone falls in love with when they see the laser etched cases. We've also got a handful of VeryPC All-in-one Panels wall mounted in EYFS classrooms which they really like. My favourite though is the VeryPC Glide - looks very nice and only has a power cable so is very minimal (despite being a 23" screen) in the Leadership Suite. VeryPC warranty support is excellent - 5 years included on the Broadleaf. I think I should be on commission or something - eh, how about it @VeryPC Al?
  15. Thanks @foofighterjim Surfprotect wasn't blocking it, but it is now on my default banned list.
  16. I used to install smartboards for a previous company. I do ours in school now - its not that hard to do, especially with newer projectors that have good brackets and mounts. I'm not busy over Christmas as school is completely shut for 2 weeks if you want some help!! VeryPC are now SMART authorised suppliers you could start by contacting Ross @VeryPC and take it from there...
  17. X-wings over water - how cool does that look? And why have I only just seen this?!
  18. I haven't head of an official way to achieve that. You might be able to schedule a script to disable and re-enable their account at specific times. I'm not a powershell expert but this might be a good place to start: Disable Access to Service by using PowerShell - o365info.com
  19. 6. Is the movie 'The shop around the corner'? 7. Rockin' round the Christmas tree - Kim Wilde and Mel Smith 8. Elf! Without doubt the best Christmas film EVER!!!!
  20. Noddy Holder from Slade - Iiiiiiiitttttssss Chriiiiiiiiisssssttttmmaaaaaaaaas!!
  21. You don't strictly need one. It will run quite happily without being installed as all the resources it needs are in the TuxPaint folder. Just install it on one PC then copy the TuxPaint folder from Program Files to a folder on a shared area and create a shortcut to the .exe which you can add to your start menu or desktop or wherever you want to put it. That's how we do it here - using a hidden shared applications drive.
  22. It could be your central heating feed and expansion cistern that is overflowing. If there was a fault causing too much pressure - e.g. sludge or a blockage in a pipe somewhere, then it is possible that water is being pumped from the boiler into the F&E cistern whilst the heating is on. After a while it will start to overflow and there should be an overflow pipe that leads from the cistern out of the loft but maybe this has become dislodged so instead the water is overflowing into the loft.
  23. Doh - I was too slow! http://tonightatthemovies.com/indexhold/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/batman-returns.jpg My first thought was Andy from Lou and Andy off of Little Britain and I got sidetracked watching clips!
  24. Ouch! I'd definitely be giving some other repairers a ring/email to get quotes.
