  1. Don't think this is exactly what you are looking for, but we set this to our startup page in chrome: https://accounts.google.com/AccountChooser?continue=https://sites.google.com/*yourpage* by putting AccountChoose? it allows them to click on their name or log in to the correct account.
  2. I use Millgate for my fortinet needs.
  3. * Unifi UAP-AC-HD, (we have had various upgrades over the last 8 years) * We ensured that we had good enough internet, we upgraded our entire backend to 10Gb fibre to every cabinet, and we upgraded all of our switches. Now this was partly down to our routine replacement. We also upgraded our Firewall/Filtering system to cope with the extra clients. You may also need to think about printing and charging devices, we added a couple of printers in open areas easy for students to access and installed Mobility print. We looked also at Central charging lockers but in the end, didn't go with that due to lack of space. * We have been using Chromebooks for the last 7 years, An extended warranty is a must and if you can afford it accidental damage cover. Also if you can afford it, 8GB RAM makes such a difference in usability. * We didn't have external help, but I still have a team of 4 in my department and we had a Digital leader from the teaching Staff side to help with training. * As above we have at least 3-8 devices a day that have been broken, we also allow pupils to take them home, so we get another 5-10 students a day who forget or don't charge their devices and need a spare. We have a spare pool of 50 devices, today I have none left. Repairs can take weeks (looking at you acer) so be prepared for that. Our most recent batches of Chromebooks have been built to order, so minimum of 30 and 8 weeks lead time. So make sure to order well in advance if you are getting anything that's not straight off the shelf. Feel free to PM if you want any further info.
  4. I have been fortigate for firewalls for at least 8 years, and we are slowly moving over the switches and APs also, it is expensive but the ability to see and manage everything in one place just makes life easier!
  5. Silly question, but have they turned on sync in the Chrome browser??, We have this often where they log in, but don't tell it to sync.
  6. We use a BT SHDS 10GB link between our 2 schools (around 2 miles apart).
  7. Goto Devices >> Networks >> General Settings (Chromebook Only) and there is an option for "Wi-Fi Networks" This is probably set at unrestricted.
  8. I think this is very much down to what sort of "head" they are. I have worked with 3 different heads, 2 of them were very much let's discuss and would take in my concerns and would often take my side or compromise. the other head did not listen to any advice and always forced his way of thinking and what he wanted (even to the point of rewriting policies to get his own way). On the actual issue, we have many of what we call "non-contract" accounts (external contractors). They are all locked down so they have no access to the student address book, they are limited to files shares to only what they require by default they get the school policy folder, then are shared anything else by the department or people they are working with. As others have said, to me it seems far more sensible to be able to track and report on what the external has been doing!
  9. If you are using physical phones, see if there has been a recent firmware update. We use Google voice and an update to our VVX phones broke the call transfer option (you couldn't hear anything after a transfer). After reporting it we had to wait a few weeks for a firmware update.
  10. Cool do a picture /QR login for Chromebooks. https://www.cloudwise.cool/
  11. When I had a look they suggest you turn off wifi 6 to get them to work.... looks like they use only 2.4GHz. Then you need them wired into the mains also. Would make much more sense just to be POE like its competitors.
  12. Our compliance officer looked at rocketbook's privacy policy and labelled it inadequate. Hasn't been updated since 2018, no mention of GDPR/Privacy Shield.
  13. You can feed it to a computer and it can be seen as a webcam, or you can stream directly to most streaming platforms if the atem is plugged in via ethernet. We do most of ours direct to Youtube using this method.
  14. Commodore Amiga CD32 ??
  15. Does the SonicWall use a MAC address cache, if so it may still have the IP linked to the old copiers MAC?
  16. Hi Sorry for the delay in reply, we are replacing a mixed fleet of 227, 367, 554e and C754e. They have started to arrive, the odd one here and there but the whole thing seems very disorganised compared to the original install.
  17. We use a trolley like this to get it to the height then it is just a small lift onto the bracket. Also we used to use it for lifting SAN's to install in our server racks.
  18. I have just started a trial and we have been given Poly B20 and Poly B30 phones to try out. Unless I am missing something (please someone tell me I am!) they basically appear to be unfit for purpose unless using them as a simple "home phone". They don't connect to your contact list, you can store a few speed dial numbers but that is it. If I want to ring a member of staff instead of like our old PBX system (typing in 4 numbers) I need to dial a full-blown telephone number. The same goes for transferring calls, and even if I have someone stored in the speed dial the transfer screen on the phone means I can't select the speed dial pages. It's fine when using it based of a PC but the phones seem very poor. Please someone tell me if I am doing this wrong!
  19. We are trying to get our photocopiers updated as our contract ended, we are told 12+ months waiting for a new copier..... we are looking at alternatives
  20. From what I understood from Our Dell rep, they haven't got any USI pens available yet.
  21. have you tried the Chrome recovery tool?
  22. During the powerwash is the screen visable?
  23. We are using one of these but any USI compatible stylus should work.
  24. Funnily enough, we have the same on loan and the pens they provide are not compatible with this Chromebook. The Screen works with a USI Pen, we had one already so we have been using that. Overall I have been pretty impressed by the 3110.
  25. We are having issues with getting some toners for some of the copiers.
