Ive just been told that one of our pupils has uploaded their parents footage of a school residential she's just come back from. It's a group of girls performing a cheer leading routine. Looks like phone footage so thankfully no faces can really made out (some cartwheeling too but I'm hoping they had PE shorts on underneath skirts!) Nothing to say what school or where it is. Apart from a talk to the classes about how un/safe these things are, is there anything we should do? My only main concern is other parents but like I said you can't see faces and plus the fact most of them are holding up phones!

Probably going on 28th. I told Office Manager to take one of the office girls with her as the comparisons would mean more to them on a day to day basis.

It snowed non stop from about 2pm yesterday and then hasn't bothered overnight. I'm full of cold and was really hoping for a duvet day tomorrow!!

Ok, we've had a few days of iffy access now. Do we get our subscriptions extended or is there some small print somewhere. My Head suscribed to this so im still playing.

Im looking at what's out there to replace the pcs in the suite that we lost in the fire. AIOs would be ideal as we are limited on space and we previously had dell inspirons that weren't exactly all in one but the base unit and monitor sat on a frame. The ones I keep coming across now are sexy looking but not sure how practical they are in a primary school environment. Anyone got/seen suitable ones?

Going managed was the best thing i did. I spent so much money and time on toners and fixing our old epson machines and this has been invaluable, especially after the fire. One less stress.

We've just purchased a load of digi cameras for the school cus the staff were crying out for them. My issue is that the reason we had none is because they don't look after them, loosing or breaking them. I'm aggrieved to give these out for that reason lol. Is there anything I can put on a bit of paper and get them to sign (obviously with the heads go ahead) that I am serious and it will be their responsibility to take care of these cameras? Maybe something similar to an aup and put some guidance on what sort of photos they should be taking?

Lol! I've just noticed I asked the same question in 2008! Blimey all I had to do was wait 3 years for us have a small fire to bring it up again! Best website to buy the bits and bobs for things like this? I mean fancy brackets and fittings etc not so much the worksurface lol

Does anyone have any examples of ways they've made good use of small space available to them? Because of the fire the furniture has been ripped out of the suite so i pretty much have a blank canvas. I asked someone to measure it for me and i was told its roughly 7.37m x 3.60m. Before the fire it was just counter top and metal legs running along the 2 long walls and across the short. I imagine it will be pretty much the same again, but as its needs doing i thought this may be a chance to improve the space. I havent replaced the computers yet so they can be either AIO or seperate base and monitor we had about 16 or 17 machines in there.... let you imagination run wild!!!.....Within reason...lol

I've fiddled with refresh rates and resolutions. Its currently attached to my monitor, again, it knows its there, does a little ding dong when attached, and as far as its aware it is displaying on the external monitor.... Please dont tell me somethings knackered. I have no more money! lol

Hey, here's one for ya... Projector and laptop work happily for weeks. Different member of staff attaches their laptop to projector, dont get on straight away but with some gentle coaxing there work happily together. Original teacher plugs her laptop back in, projector is no longer speaking to it. Laptop, knows projector is connected. So it will do dual display but nothing appears on projector. Thats until you load something like a browser or press the start menu...it suddenly springs to life (in a fashion)...its got a distorted shaky bit on the image and then its flicks off again and back on again and off again. Close said browser or start menu and the image goes off completely... I've updated the graphics driver that hasnt helped. Rebooted with and without projector attached to laptop....only thing i havent tried is swapping VGA lead. Bamboozled...
