VAMT is now my friend....funny that..

All the new kit i had after the fire is Windows 7 so i have been spending my time trying to get my head around this....its taking me a while! I've first got the ongoing saga of getting KMS to do as its told. VAMT throws up errors about not being to connect to WMI (tried this when i got annoyed with KMS) Then i've got profile issues which i have carried over from my XP machines somehow (kids log in no icons or after working on a document, minimise it and all their icons have vanished). I cant remote to any of my clients. I know the machines are on, ive added inbound rules to firewall but googling says i need to disable UAC... lol! If anybody can point me to some good guidance with any of these let me..

Ah yeah i realise that, that was purely just to get them going as they were shouting that they werent genuine and staff were panicing as they do! Still another 30 odd to do via KMS though!

When ive been doing it manually ive been using the MAK...i hope! Pretty sure the once i put the KMS in it wouldnt activate.

Has everyone given up on me?! lol I have both looking like they are setup on the host. The Office KMS has received client requests but the Windows 7 one hasnt yet...ive set the interval to 15 minutes for now to whilst im testing.

If i do a cscript /dlv all what should i see? By the looks of it my Office is now there but just not enough clients calling yet, but i dont see anything similar Windows...

So i put win7 one in i get "On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xC 004F015' to display the error text. Error: 0xC004F015"

Ok, im following the video. First question, when im activating the server as a KMS host, what key should i be using there?! Cus if i do the ato bit "Product activated successfully" but then when i do the dlv bit a second time like the video, it doesnt produce the same output as the video, just says the initial info...

Any help welcome! PM'd. I've still yet to try the Batch but i get feeling its something ive missed!

Right still havent tried your bit yet FM-GM as i havent had chance yet, but as a backup, does anyone have either a step by step guide to work through so i can make sure ive done all the right bits!?

When you say activated you mean running Slmgr.vbs /ato? I've done that on my server and it says successfully activated... this is what confuses me..

Clients do have firewalls on but its picked up my inbound rule... Sorry, ive realised ive completely taken over someones thread!

Eugh, Ive set inbound rule, made sure the KMS knows it. DNS is there...only thing left to do is go check there isnt firewalls on the machines but there shouldn't be....doesnt mean there isnt....
