I've installed the 40 day trial and there are a couple of things i'm stumped on and havent been able to find help elsewhere. 1) I've got a user that prints aren't being logged. She is on a laptop thats not on the domain, but to use the printers they have to authenticate to the network (usually by clicking Staff Common and it asks for their domain username and password) and she is in the users group on PaperCut. 2) It seems to pick randomly which machine they have printed from. This happened with the free software but let it slide as its free and wasn't a biggie. Issue seems to still exist. I'm getting people apparently printing on a computer that they wouldn't be anywhere near. One member of staff seems to be printing from my old laptop that no longer exists nor exists on AD... So i'm a bit stumped at the moment...

After i lost my beloved Dexter, i vowed not to get another pet (for a while) so can't join in with the pet shenanigans. So here are two kids halloween costume which i think are brilliant! This is both cute and creepy.. and....

How many schools out there supply every teacher with a laptop? I'm interested to know if this is a common thing. I'm about to write an email to SLT that i feel staff here are rather privileged to have a laptop each and one of them to come and tell me that they've forgotten their password because they don't use it very often is frankly disgusting. If it's not used, i can quickly find a new home for them. If it's the done thing in all schools i can't really argue that point. NB: All our classrooms have 2 PC's. The Laptops are mainly used at home. EDIT: I must stress that i haven't got a problem with staff having laptops, their list of work seems to be ever increasing and i don't envy them at all. I get irritated that they seem to be taken for granted.

Nope not stupid! Especially as i think the labels have to be a particular kind because they have black lines on the back which i guess helps it line up. I shall go investigate this further! The office ladies deal with this bit so will go see if they noticed any difference.

Our entry system has a label printer attached to it via USB (Seiko smart label printer 440). This week it has been reporting a no paper error, even though there's a whole roll there. I did all the usual checks, it'll work for a short time then the error returns. I contacted the company thinking there was a faulty sensor and they sent me a new printer, but the error is still there. So i've uninstalled, reinstalled, installed new drivers, new rolls of paper and changed the USB cable. Still cant get the sucker to work!!! Any suggestions?

Al, could you possible send me a copy of your VeryPC logo? Doesn't have to be massive, ones i can grab are a little on the small side....

What did i just watch?!

I recieved a package today, did the usual 'I dont remember ordering anything....' thing. Opened the delivery note and recognised that name. This name made me hide whilst i opened the package....just in case. But no need! Sweetest thing EVER! Much love to Mr@Domino. It really made me smile...I didn't almost cry, no not me!
