Hi gang, I'm wanting to go the next level in photoshop and start digitizing my own drawings, pluss I'm starting to get lots of requests to draw custom graphics. I borrowed one from the art department couple of weeks ago and had a go, but it dosen't feel comfortable and it has limited functions. my budget is £200. Im still a little shaky so lots of practice is needed and a decent tablet will help a great deal. Ok thats about it cheers

I have one for my home, it does the job and I have never had a problem with it.

Departents in my school pay for there own toners, so it all depends on there budget. some refuse to by compatibles... mostly due to experience and my nudge, and the odd department that have a very very low budget will buy compatibles. that said, I too have had mixed results in the past, I think its pot luck most of the time. There seems to be alot of companys phoning me these days offering compatibles. I usually go to this company for refills, they do both mono and colour Refill toner UK | Toner refill your empty laser printer cartridge | U Refill Toner Ltd. Alot of brother printers have a cap on the side of the cartridges, so its alot easier to refill with out the mess and use of a circular heat iron to make the hole.

I can back this up, this has happened to me twice now. And they have lost out on some big orders, therefore will continue to do so as I dont have time to email people and not get a responce.

sounds to me like he dosen't know how to setup server, or he is just plain incompitent. most software has its fairshare of problems and always will do. Have you spoken to the network managers line manager?

The IT angle

So Far I've been a sparky, and CNC operator for an areospace company.. With BSF kicking off here and the school is to be remodeled in two year time, I would really like to stay in IT but I'm back at college on a wed evening retraining to be a sparky. in the mean time I'm working through the server 2008 exams. At least then when the changes are made to the school I can be more relaxed about weather I will be in a job or not as I will have backup plans. I've always wanted to be a police man.

Yep its not something I would do normally but I said to the art department.... what ever you want. I will be showing them tomorrow what I've done to make sure I'm on the same page. The whole thing will be done again and tidied up.

the 'h' in 'the' is not quite what I was going for... Thnk I will do that again.... just been out to buy some smarties to take a photos of the diffrent colours

I'm playing around with diffrent back grounds, I was thinking dark hard wood floor with a desk lamp shining light down on the text. I have to agree with the comments, some of the text is difficult to read, maybe I can improve with drop shadows.
