An idea just sprung to mind, I was wondering if anyone knows of an extension that we could use for a student diary/planner? it needs to be able to allow students to have their own loging, and a calander etc. I've looked at blogs but I don't think that would be suitable and could be open to abuse. any ideas Kev

I'm developing a learningwall which is going to be used by our students for accessing files and resources. at the moment I'm really struggling to come up with ideas for the header. It needs to be fresh, web 2.0 feel, and have the title "LearningWall" I want to do something funky but I am really strugling to come up with ideas. Could anyone help me out or make some suggestions? I would really appreciate it Kev

looking at my test server which is running wamp, I dont have system-cache plugin enabled and it works fine. So my guess is it is something to do with IIS7. Still a little new using IIS7 so Im strugling to think of a solution.

I've setup joomla internally on IIS 7 and is running very fast but I have hit a small problem Im using Jsmallfib extension which allows an article to show folders and files in a directory. If I add a folder the joomla page will update with no problems but If I add an file to a folder it would bring up an error. On Closer look I enabled the cache plugin and that cured the problem. The problem now is if I add or update a file in a folder the front end dosent appear to update unless I clear the cache manually. The idea is for the staff to update files and folders so I dont have to and it should automatically update it self. I noticed in the cache plugin you can set the number of days before it is cleared. Is the a way to set it so it clears every 1 minute with out me interacting, or a better. ok next whats the diffrence between that cache in the admin config, and the cache plugin? Cheers

Im writing all this down as I go and will put it all togeather in a nice tutorial with screen shots if anyone is intrested. Thank you to everyone thats helped me so far
