looking at upgrading the main backbone cabinet and I was thinking about sticking with 3com, but its has been suggested I give Dell switches ago. Call me stuck in my ways but I have never been a fan of Dell gear. 3com switches is significantly more expensive than Dell. would I be getting the same level of quality with Dell as I would with 3com or run the risk of possibly compromising the network stabability especially when its our main cabinet that the rest of the network and server connect to. We can't afford to replace all the switches around the school this year so if I was to go with DELL would it have a negative effect mixing two brands or would it not make any diffrence? any suggestions or comments? I'm using the the joomla template for a very diffrent use and I was wanting to add sound on mouse over effect. basically in a nut shell Human moves mouse over image, image changes and they hear a sound. I have the image change done but Im not sure how to add sound on rollover effect. any ideas? cheers kp

solved the problem... nod was interupting 1. JUST open up your Nod32 window 2. Navigate to Setup> Advanced Setup Tree > Web Access Protection > HTTP > Web Browsers 3. Uncheck the default browser whoch u chose while installing WAMP, in my case iexplorer

I do alot of work from home, usually tweaking the system, preparing documents. I dont get paid any extra for it, but it does make my life alot easier.

do I need to create a group for staff and students and add them to each group?

ok staff are in the saff ou and students are in the students ou I've left the settings as default so when staff logon they should get the staff aup and students get the students aup I've left everything default and add the aup for staff and students in the default aup path. staff and students get the students aup

Just trying this app and I have run into a little problem. It seems to only show student AUP when I log on as a teacher, how do I force the program to show the teacher AUP when a teacher logs on and a Student AUP when a student logs on.. Daft question Im sure will be easy to answer. Cheers

I would look at the motherboard manual and see if there is a jumper setting for this or it may be you need to configure the sound driver software. what motherboard manufacture and model is it?

Ok here is the story so far we were one of the first schools in stockton to my knowledge to integrate cachpilot with server 2008 AD. unfortunately to my horror Equiinet had not relaesed an update to allow a cachepilot box to do this so we had to settle with people logging into the cachepilot everytime they went to use the internet. It took Equiinet just over a month to send me an update to allow me to integrate the cachepilot box in to server 2008. It worked fine for about a month until 3 days ago I started to goet angry staff and students at my door saying the internet was down. On closer look in to the problem It required a reboot of the cachepilot box. this help for a whole 20 minutes, then I would have to reboot the box again.. and again and again. I Phoned easynet to report the problem and they still haven't got back to me with a solution. I need to come up with a solution that is becta approved and noticed everyone is starting to use smoothwall. plenty of good reports, so I'm really impressed with the product. I have a spare pc here with plenty of ram, hdd, and cpu power. How much will it cost me to moth over to this? any help would be much appreciated, I would like to set this up tomorrow and take the box into work to finish off on monday and have it installed Cheers

I would login to system and modify student and staff profile. I would think there is a tick box somewhere to stop updates. once done, restart and change users profiles back to man
