  1. @Garacesh I have tested this simple batch file to delete a test folder with contents including other folders with files (.docx, .ppt, .txt etc etc) and it works just fine for me, your parameters within the quotation marks will change obviously, quotation marks are required: @echo off RD /S /Q "C:\Test" @Garacesh my bad didn't read your first post properly, having a senior moment, you don't want to just delete all the files and folders sorry

@mark Apparently the developer of this app has a statement after installing that due to the fact that FB is utilising messenger more that he doesn't know how long he can keep this app going? I have downloaded and installed will try.....Thank you

@KoolTech Day to Day use is excellent, using all the apps as per usual in a days work plus banking and other stuff, blown away by the speed, no drag on apps or phone use, crystal clear sound on calls, photos are crisp and clear in HD format plus video in all formats and slow mo!. Battery life is excellent as the screen is so good on low brightness settings, actually been using very heavily all day and still on 61% charge. Phone is lovely to handle although a tad slippery with the new shape and the aluminium back unlike the HTC but you get used to it, would have preferred if they had made slightly rougher to the touch a little like the sandstone on the OP2. Only glitch I have found so far is with FB sometimes not opening peoples comments, only now and again, i find clearing the cache and stopping the app solves this, I think it is the FB app rather than the phone though to be honest. Games play sweetly with no judder from the graphics......etc etc! What more can I say just loving it
  4. Hi All, Thanks to those peeps who posted, update is that I have spoken to our data manager and he agrees that since we have given access to the profiles to many people they have indeed made a mess of things by using the likes of word to copy and paste comments into the templates which has caused corruption of those templates. How we came to this decision was that as the person proof reading and editing the reports tried to edit 6 reports it came up with an error from word stating that the German and Portuguese proofing tools were not installed, we don't use either of these but someone who does had overwritten the template whilst having proofing set to both these languages at different times, my guess would be the MFL department for want of a better guess. Data manager has told me that the present templates are to be deleted and new templates setup for next years reports with a different approach to how they are managed and who has access. Thanks to those peeps who offered help have a great day Would a MOD close this thread please
  5. @sparkeh Here are some more for you to look at: 1.https://www.go4schools.com/ProgressReports.aspx 2.Teachers Report Assistant - FREE time saving utility for teachers 3.https://www.reportcommentbank.co.uk/index/login Some are free and I think No:1 links to your MIS
  6. @sparkeh @TriggerHappyUK Sims has its own reporting system which through "Profiles" will allow you to setup reporting templates to which the staff all have access and can write their individual reports and this can be managed centrally within Sims. I don't know if you have this module as part of your Sims but it is very effective although like any other software can be a little finicky. Have a look at it here:
  7. @dapaulio Yes we running in compatibility mode should have made that a little clearer, Thanks
  8. @dapaulio I haven't actually watched her as the exams officer has told me that she has watched her and that she sees nothing being done incorrectly so I cannot therefore make it look like I am being told porkies as this would come across as being unprofessional of me. I do of course feel that the person who is doing the proof reading is not fully focused due to the task being arduous and repetitive so I have logged a call with our LA's MIS team to see if they can generate the same problem. I just wondered if anyone else was experiencing the same issues that's all. Thanks
  9. Hi Folks, Wonder if anyone can shed some light? We currently having intermittent problems with the above, it started last year but we seemed to get over it, it has now become an issue again whereas the person who is editing the student profiles (Proof reading and making changes) when saving it seems to save but then sometimes not which leaves the staff user frustrated at the lost time. We thought it maybe a memory issue with the workstation so we did a memtest which it passed so then we built a new machine to which we have the same issue, Has anyone come across this issue before, server spec as follows: Built on 2012R2 HyperV cluster Server 2012R2, 4 Processors, 20GB RAM SQL 2014 Just a little concerned, logged a call with our MIS team who I feel will contact Capita like they did last time and all I got from Capita was to reboot the server. Any help would be welcomed Thanks in advance
  10. We've never had any problems until now Been using it for approx 1 year
  11. @Liam Its backup now! but too late for our students this morning..................never mind! It just seems that since they moved services to a different address things have deteriorated, had no issues at all from the previous address.
  12. It seems that since they moved services to a different site all seems not well: This doesn't surprise me one little bit!

Absolutely blown away by this unit, only had it 1 day and its fantastic! AnTuTu benchmark test is nearly twice that of my OP2 unit:

@Garacesh Hmm! how quaint of you to answer in such a fashion, I agree with you that you are much more likely to get better service with a replacement from a common carrier but then again I have never experienced any such misgivings with any of my OP units unlike other manufacturers I could name, my daughter has had quite a number of different mobiles to which she has always had issues, until she got my OP1 unit which is now 2 years old she has had no issues whatsoever, You pays your money and you takes your choice, I happen to think that I have found a manufacturer who builds a decent phone for the money and I am willing to back that up by purchasing it. Like most things in life you have to experience the worst to experience the best and there are a lot of bad units out there. That's just my opinion from experience

@Arreks I would do exactly the same if I had been in your shoes, I have had no experience of the support as I have never required any as I have mentioned before all devices going strong after 2 years. There is always the problem though if you move to another manufacturer in that their support maybe even worse, better the devil you know than the devil you don't! @Garacesh This could be said about many mobile phone manufacturers though from reading the different forums could it not?

@RobD My banking apps work just fine, its only rooted phones they apparently don't work with.

@blu4 Had the same problem just the other day, replaced the drive with the same make but different size, not a problem so I would say go for it

@Arreks Sorry to hear that, I have owned all three of the OnePlus models, still have the OP2 my daughter has my OP1 and they still as good as when I first bought them, the only issues I had was with the OP2 fingerprint scanner which they have now sorted. I run lots of apps but don't mess with firmware just the usual OnePlus updates and I have been impressed with the cost, the build quality and the operation of the units. Just my opinion but value for money they are probably the best on the market
  19. Well don't want to spoil the fun but you could save yourself an arm and a leg according to this report: Fuel additives are ?waste of money?! | Auto Express Don't know how people feel about this now

Well its here!! First Impressions........................very light compared to OnePlus2, lovely build, setup took just 2 mins, very quick and responsive, looks a million dollars with wait for it...........slightly bevelled screen edges just like the Samsung S7 edge. Charging is very quick, it was already 60% charged but took just 15mins to take it to the max!! Sweet!
  21. Access rights = Profile Co-ordinator I give all our subject leaders this access level and they have the rights to view all and edit all as the System permissions excel document states.

@dry I found the Huawei P8 a little under spec for the price and the overall look is a little too square box but again each to their own, if it works for you then that's all that matters

It wouldn't surprised me if all the hardware comes from the same manufacturers to keep costs down and therefore designs are irrelevant just like cars which all seem to have more or less similar styling nowadays. Lots of items today seem to look very much alike as we run out of ideas.
  24. We just going down that route after me badgering them to 5 years ago, everything should be up and running by the end of today All linked to our Biometrics and MIS so looking forward to the change as it all works automatically and I will have very little input (For once less work rather than more!!) Yipee!!

Mine will be arriving next week!! Price in comparison to most other phone makers is still sweet! Will have my OP2 as backup even though its excellent I required NFC which has tipped the balance into my purchase of the new OP3 Can't wait
