We block Bing.com across the school, don't require it as you have stated some unsavoury search returns have prompted this. We just force safe search via Google through GPO's

@silvestre Been there wore the T-shirt, DPM was a complete waste of my time, threw up too many errors which I spent ages fixing through various microsoft tech sheets and following other user workarounds to no avail, it would work one time then not another for various reasons. Moved to Veeam Essentials and never looked back, what a brilliant product, well worth the initial outlay. Hope you have better luck with DPM than I had

@Blue_Cookeh I too have looked at our infrastructure and looking towards Meraki They seem to have a very good line in switches and with educational discounts or even Charity status discounts I feel these would be what I would recommend based on other professional advice. They may seem a tad more expensive but they have a very good pedigree and as for Cisco being the mother company it speaks volumes, our infrastructure is now 15 years old and built on Cisco quality switches and are still delivering a great service but only with 1GB OM3 Fibre as backbone.

Wonder what fine Yahoo will get then after they released their 2 year security breach, at least Talk Talk came clean about theirs whereas Yahoo waited 2 years claiming they had no idea until just recently! Been running DPM2012 but found it unreliable to say the least, trialling Veeam Essentials Enterprise at the moment and all I can say is wow! took minutes to setup and with a little tweaking we now have 5 restore points for all 20 VMs, slight problem with SQL on one server which I shall hopefully have rectified tonight, SQL VSS Writer is not fully functional although the service is running, when I use the "vssadmin list writers" command from CLI the SQL VSS Writer is not listed. It does look great and a heads up that version 9.5 is to be released shortly so I have been led to believe, 60% discount for small business Essentials in 2 core packs most excellent. Had this happen to me and so I revamped my templates and did a complete re-installation across site using a PDQ Deploy package I built. Been working fine but unfortunately doesn't stop the latest version of ransomeware as we found to our dismay Monday afternoon when one of our darling members of teaching staff unwittingly clicked on a dodgy e-mail link, as we have just migrated from our old platform to a new virtual 2012r2 with our curriculum servers we didn't have all the permissions set as we had on the last network due to workload!!! Managed to stop it in its track by eradicating the source machine and shutting down all the servers bar one of our DC's. Cleaned up any files which had been encrypted................250,000!!! Ran Malwarebyte's pro over the servers and then over workstations in groups everything was clean, rebuilt the offending machine and then proceeded to replace 2/3rds of the affected files. 12.5 hours later after working through the night with one of my technicians we finally finished at 5am the following morning, went home, grabbed food and 2 hours kip and back in to work for 8:30 with staff non the wiser except for the guilty member of staff. All Staff have been made aware and seem to be very thankful for the effort. We have now been clean for 3 days and counting! Just a heads up

2 x Dell R720s 192GB RAM with 2 x 300GB SAS drives mirrored connected via 4 teamed Nics to 2 x 1GB switches for failover to 2 x Synolgy R3614xs+'s clustered with high availability manager for fail over. Backups to DPM2012r2 server connected via 4 teamed GB Nics connected to another Synolgy R3614x with 34TB storage over 12 Raid6 SATA drives (WD Reds 4GB) from here using DSM plugin for Azure to the cloud. Total cost for kit £14k + setup time and Licenses Running 20 VMs and not even utilising 5% of total CPU capacity.

@sparkeh If you add the site to compatibility view in IE11 it returns the login screen too

@gshaw I left Vodafone for that very reason, now with EE and I can honestly say that I have had no problems with signal strength to date, fantastic phone but then having had all 3 of their models to date I don't think I would change to any other as they have all been great and still in use, 3.2.2 here

@FN_GM I've found that having the screen brightness turned down to almost the lefthand side on the slider still allows me to see the screen quite clearly and thus saves me masses of battery life, been on Pokeman Go all day plus facebook and the like, messenger and sms and still have 60% battery life left. Normally get 1.5 to 2 days out of my phone although its not as good as my OP2 which always gave me 2 days + a couple of hours

@DJ-1701 Avast free, does a great job but there is also another called 360 which I used to use before it became bloated.

@DJ-1701 Nothing really, absolutely blown away by this phone, only thing is my bank doesn't deal with android pay services yet but not to worry @FN-GM has already validated that the android pay app works

New update Oxygen 3.2.1 done no problems!

@DJ-1701 Highly recommend the OnePlus3 and so do many on here, excellent value for the money, buy outright and use Sim only for the best experience of a smartphone yet!

@Sheridan This was the whole reason why I gave the Staff full autonomy of these devices so they could do what they wanted with them, so far I haven't heard a peep out of them..........I wonder why? Could it be that they are no longer in the school I ask? Not for me to question as I don't have anything to do with them except give them Internet access and repairs (Not had any as I haven't seen them hehe!) SLT backed this solution so they are the ones who will reap the whirlwind should they be asked by the big "O"

@tim7777 It looks as if it is a one user license for data managers if you read the paragraph underneath the picture, I get the feeling for a whole school use it will cost?
