What plugin are you using for this form?

I used to cycle to work, when I worked in the middle of Brum. Actually, I would drive in until the traffic stopped moving and whip the Brompton out of the boot and two minutes later, whizz by the car that was in front of me when I parked. (And flick a 'V' sign just for good measure!) Now, I ride the Brommie in the summer on weekends and on the rollers in the winter. Everything with a Brommie is a compromise (except the folding) so it's not the best machine for getting around on, but I love mine. It's 13 years old now and is one of the first T6's on the road - technically it's a T3 with a T6 conversion.

We have "official" college twitter and facebook accounts (which I run) and an unknown number of faculty accounts, which they run themselves. Our goal for the main account is one post per day, which sounds easy, but getting stuff to post is nigh on impossible. It comes in spurts. At the mo, there is a big push to use social media more and so I am getting loads of stuff to post. In a couple of weeks it will all die down again. Experience has shown it is much better to post consistently. When we tweet, it automatically goes onto our facebook page. It also appears on our website. We do not allow people to write on our wall. We use if for the same things as FragglePete Recently I went on this half day course Social Media | MustardTraining which I think was excellent. I have loads of ideas to improve the use of social media and we had a meeting about this earlier in the week, which was all going swimmingly until the subject of money came up - it then all went very quiet, lots of umming and ahhing, and nothing will happen. Except I'm still expected to improve the use of social media. So we can post consistently and better manage brainstorms, I want to invest a whole 700 pennies a month in Hootsuite, which let you manage all of your social media in one place, lets you schedule postings, etc. They said this might happen next year. We could have done with this in place this week. We have next years students in and I've been given a series of tweets to go out during the day at specific times. Easy, except I'm also taking student id photos, providing IT support and being my usual omnipresent self. Sorry this has turned into a rant - I'm off for a ginger nut and a calm down...

My Mom's Morris Minor was very easy to break into. Open the bonnet, pull down the sound deadening on the firewall, reach through the glove box and use the door handle. There was also a starter button on the solenoid, which bypassed the key, so you could just drive away. My Dad's old Vauxhall had an interesting feature. If two people pushed up and down on diagonal wings, and flexed the body enough, all four doors would pop open. It's still a mystery to me how they stayed shut on the bumpy Aussie roads.

I can't help you with this but this week we've been seeing a message "Device has been disconnected" on bootup. Methinks that a dodgy update come in.

Anything that involves government is a complete ripoff. A recent example is here in Brum. We're getting our very own "Boris Bikes" scheme and the 5,000 bikes are going to cost £24m. That's £4,800 per bike. 1,000 of these bikes are being given free to low income families to encourage them to exercise more. Surely for that money they could have given 12,000 families £400 vouchers for Hawk Cycles or similar and improved the life style of far more people? I'm just a lowly sysadmin who doesn't understand the complexities of government finance. Anyway, I'm keeping my eye on ebay for a £4,800 bike going at a bargain price

Other - kick em out permanently, bulldoze the Palace of Westminster and use the site for affordable housing, run Parliament via teleconferencing thereby cutting traveling and accommodation costs, and making Parliament more green.

This reminds me of one place I worked when I was a programmer. The chaps were told they could only remove their ties in the hot weather, when the female office manager said it was OK. One day, I whipped my tie off and there were murmuring amongst the other chaps. I queried this and they said "We haven't been given permission", to which I replied "What are they going to do, fire all of us?" at which point all of the ties came off and the manager sat there looking much less smug. Shortly after, they introduced an optional tie policy to keep her quiet. Where I work now, all compulsory staff meetings are held twice. One during school hours, which is mostly full of us support staff and the other after school, which is all teachers. There are also teacher meetings after school. Support are invited, but no of us go.

Neil Armstrong had to reboot the computer when he and Buzz where landing the LEM.

At the mo we use MSI StarCams like this but it's hit and miss as to whether they will work on W7. On some boxes they will but others they won't. I've been thinking about Microsoft LifeCam as they are "Skype certified" Has anyone used these? Ta!
