I am looking to do the same thing and I am stuck on the Home Drive part! But to help with a few of your questions I have already managed to figure out: - Staff to login at home: You will need to go into Directory Utility and under Services Click on Active Directory. Under the User Experience Tab you will want to tick create mobile account at login. Make sure that require confirmation is unticked - Networked Devices: To stop that I turn off the Bonjour Service on the Macs. I can't remember the program I used to use its on a harddrive I don't have with me.. but it was Called something like Service Daemon and it was a picture of a little devil. You run it and you can then turn off services running on the Mac. - Mount Network Drives: You can use the Preference policy on the Mac Server to do this. Under the Dock preference there is an option in there to add it to the dock. Hope that helps some...

@scotyboy56 I am currently trying to do exactly what you have managed to achieve. I have been searching the net everywhere for this solution. Are you able to share with me how you have managed to get this working? I have been trying to do this for months pulling my hair out! Thanks

Are you on the switch that should have the IP Helper address configured?
-
Heya, Just to let you know that I tried the sh running-config and managed to get the IP Helper address on one of my devices here:

I'll have a look in my ccna book tomorrow for you when I get to work if no one else has replied to your post by then to see if I can find anything for you. I would have thought it would be in the show running config though? Usually most info is in there.
-
I am pretty sure you can find this if you do the show running config command. You need to be in enabled mode to do this not in conf t mode. Does that help any?
-
Can you PM what price you would be after? Thanks

I just wanted to clear this up. I do not work for a big company reselling this product. I am just a IT Tech in a School and thought I could help out. Didn't mean any harm.

Ahh sorry I have misread your post.. Indeed Ranger Primary you just need Licence's for. That makes things easier! You can just buy the 10 Licence pack and get a new Key code from Ranger. Shouldn't cost £700 thats for sure!! Sounds to me like Stone are trying to take you for a ride.. Ranger Remote is an optional purchase not a must if you upgrade your licences!
-
Hey man, What version of Apple are you running on the MacBook? Apple have the app store for your MacBook as well. Sadly yes you have to buy them both separately!
-
Hiya, I have been working with Ranger for a number of years and have learnt how this game goes.... That is very extreme what you have been quoted. You can buy the system all over again for that price! Have you been paying the Ranger Upgrade contract every year? Its about £330 I think! If you haven't... then Ranger back date this when you want to buy new licences and force you to upgrade. So that means you pay for the new licences and a upgrade protection. I hate how they do that and I think its a rip off! Another thing is that you can only buy Licecnes in packs of 10 with Ranger... Another money making Scheme! Don't get me wrong their products are great in the right places but I don't agree with how they do things regarding money making! I don't know why your reseller has quoted you for Ranger Primary as well as you only need the Ranger Remote Control.. its all separate! Sounds a bit funny to me! I used to be a Ranger Reseller for about 4 years.
