I've now tried the flash uninstall and reinstall on two identical computers ...yes, you guessed it - one worked, one didn't

Me too @Oaktech ??

Hmm. Uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome seems to work but that is going to be a pain across the school, and I would like IE to work too. So are you saying, @DaveAshworth that my flash install might be an issue? I would be interested in the script

All computers are up to date with Flash and there are no earlier versions about. iPlayer gives a black screen but other sites such as this one: Two black rhino babies bring hope to endangered species - CBBC Newsround have the "couldn't load plugin" message. Flash isn't working on the flash player site either - but then it wouldn't would it as I am still using the browser that couldnt load the plugin

BBC iplayer will not work with IE - users either get a black screen or a message about flash (which is up to date) Can anyone advise?

Nothing happens - except for the error message - "the parameter is incorrect" But the path is correct it is that sort of blank page logo thing rather than the proper pic. There is nothing in the event viewer, sadly

Having wrestled with ttts logbox and finally got it working, I realise that the app icon does not work on the Windows 8.1 Lenovo Yogas when logged on as a Student. The program has installed, the path is correct - exactly the same as on the Windows 7 computers - but it does not show the icon properly and does not work. If I log on as manager the desktop icon works fine. It also works for staff - they have an icon on the desktop and the app works too. This would point to a permissions issue but I have set the highest folder to allow everyone to do everything, and the students are also allowed to do everything just in case. Can anyone shed any light on this - what can I do? I'm really hoping someone can help as I am at a loss

@Kingstech Have a look here: Trinity Rescue Kit | CPR for your computer Burn it to a DVD and you will be able to reset or remove any password. Works like a charm - wouldn't be without it!

I will look at one of the admin computers tomorrow - thanks
-
I've absolutely no idea. We just started using it last week and it is only used by admin who are on a different network to me. However, that makes more sense now- I shall make enquiries!

But why would RDP affect this issue at all?
-
Can you explain how this impacts the system?
