This is with the viewer installed on Windows, viewing the Mac from Windows. It definitely has a mouse plugged in. This version of RealVNC, which seems to be the latest, doesn't seem to have that many settings. I've seen reference to a setting about showing mouse/keyboard, but it doesn't have that. I've just tried with UltraVNC, and although a bit clunkier than RealVNC it does have an option to track the cursor to the mouse position, and is working.

Hi Folks, I'm using RealVNC Viewer 6.2 to connect from Windows to a Mac which works well, except that the cursor is a tiny dot. I've googled the issue, but can't spot anything to resolve it - there's talk of configuring the cursor, but Viewer doesn't have this option. Any ideas? Should I use a different VNC app? Thanks

The other option is using Gmail, which I think he's keen to use. I've tested, and you can use POP3 to pull in Office 365 email from two different accounts. So the email side looks easy. It's the calendar side that's more of an issue, with two personal assistants that would need access to the calendar and the ability to manage. That looks easy if both personal assistants use Gmail, and perhaps it's better in some ways to have that separation from their own accounts. They might want to use Outlook though, and it seems to manage Gmail through Outlook requires a GSuite account https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/170958?hl=en

The potential good news is that he wants to do this on a Mac laptop, so he might have that combined inbox option (coincidentally I just read about that).

Having spoken to one of the PAs, she creates the bulk of his appointments. The others come from external Outlook meeting invites. I suspect it's the latter that will be the biggest problem, as they will inevitably come to the two accounts. Sharing the calendars isn't an issue technically, and we've already tried that. We have given the PA mentioned above an account at both schools, so she can see both calendars and has delegate access. There is some issue with overlaying them, which I may have mentioned above, but I have a feeling it's just due to the number of appointments on both. This is where I think they want to try and use one calendar as much as possible. There's no delegation for email, just the calendar. I've looked at search folders, but I only have one O365 account so can't look at it beyond that. Presumably a search folder can be setup to look at two mailboxes? When I created the search folder it seemed to suggest it was mailbox specific.

I think he wants it in a single mailbox, in that he doesn't want the complexity of two mailboxes. I see what you're saying though, and a search folder could be a way of combining two mailboxes in an easier way. Calendars are the other big issue, as he doesn't want to maintain two calendars, along with one or two PAs having to maintain two calendars as well. The best practical way I can see to achieve this is that staff at both schools are told to contact him on one address, as the bulk of appointments will likely come from staff.

I'm thinking that might be the best option, but the preference for the Headteacher was to combine it all in one mailbox. They have tried combining already, but more so the Headteacher's PA, and she is finding that overlaying calendars isn't working well. I'll try and find out more detail about why overlaying is an issue.

Hi folks, We have an issue we’re trying to resolve for our Headteacher. He has now taken on a second school as well, but he wants to be able to simplify dealing with email and calendars to a single inbox. The two schools are running separate O365 tenancies and there are no plans to combine. He wants to achieve: 1. Parent from school 1 emails him, it goes to a central inbox and he replies with an email address suffix from school 1. 2. Parent from school 2 emails him, it goes to a central inbox and he replies with an email address suffix from school 2. 3. Any meeting requests go into the calendar on this central inbox, which can be one of the two mailboxes. I can’t see a way to achieve this, short of forwarding both emails to a combined inbox with a neutral reply address i.e. doesn't have either of the suffixes from the schools. Anyone got a better idea, or is there something I'm missing from O365's capabiltiies? Thanks

Sorted. I hadn't spotted in your screenshots that you had selected the Contacts table. I was using Parents. I didn't realise that SIMS had tables for both, I just though all "Parents" would be people linked to the student. I also made sure that the tiny "Include records with no such Contact" check box was unticked. That's given me the correct list. Thanks for the help!

What do you get in terms of results? I just get a list of all students.

Hi folks, I'm trying to create a SIMS report, or at least any way of creating a list of student contacts that have a priority set to null. I've tried creating a report with the Parents table and filtering that with a priority of null, but the filter won't accept that there isn't an integer value as part of the filter. If I set a value then it doesn't report any parent/contact records. I've also tried less than 1, or just not equal to 1, and it still doesn't show the null values. If I don't set any filter at all on priority then it doesn't show any parent/contacts above priority 2, nor does it show the nulls. Any ideas? Thanks

I'm not sure of the best way to describe it. With Exchange it was an issue if you wanted to connect the Outlook app to two different Exchange servers under the same profile, it couldn't be done. (You could add multiple mailboxes from the same Exchange server) Reasons for it are in the OP, but essentially we've got two different schools where the Headteacher's PA wants to open up mailboxes from both.

Note the key bit is different instances of Office 365 e.g. Office 365 for two different organisations. Mutliple mailboxes in the same instance I know for sure works.

I've spotted in the latest version of Outlook that there's a "New" button under where you make account changes, but I don't have a different O365 account in another instance to test with.

Hi Folks, Can you have two O365 accounts from two different O365 instances (essentially two completely different O365 "servers") within one Outlook app profile? I remember it wasn't possible a few years back to have two Exchange accounts on different servers under one profile. The objective here is that we have a Headteacher who is now working across two different schools that are on two different O365 systems, and his PA wants to be able to see the calendars under the mailboxes on the two different systems. (No, we can't merge the two systems together. They have to remain separate O365 "servers"). Thanks

There's also Endpoint Manager, but is that just bringing SCCM and Intune into one product? And presumably Intune requires Azure, or an Azure server of some sort?

Hi folks, Is there an equivalent of Config Manager, but in the cloud? I know there's Intune, which doesn't seem to be as powerful. Basically I'd like to see what the options are of putting Config Manager like functionality but in the cloud. I know there's the new Endpoint Manager which seems to be in the cloud. I'm confused! Can anyone explain what the options are in simple terms? Thanks

Hi All, Anyone else got users where DST hasn't updated? They've got the right time zone selected, and the automatic update checkbox is ticked. They can't restart the Window Time service because it requires admin privs. I've suggested a good ole reboot. I could also use Anydesk to go on their PCs and adjust but seems a bit overkill for such a simple thing. Any ideas? Thanks
