Yep have added those sites, thing is on student machine it works fine on IE just not chrome?

Anyone use gcse pod here? We have videos playing for IE and chrome in IT office but in classroom only works for Internet explorer. Compared chrome settings for both pc and all seem same. Moved my pc to that classroom OU in hope of my pc it stops working and still can't replicate the issue. Any ideas what can be stopping thjs The video does play just sound but display is black. So not sure if it's firewall issue

Hi all quick question, can we check if key logging is enabled for particular user? I have been told to enable for some students and wanted to ensure they are not aware of it? Can this be same for staff too? as HR have asked me to check if the staff can check? my second question is wouldn't it be illegal to allow such for staff? Of if they are told we can use keylogger in advance for any checks then are we covered? I want to cover my back, obv this will be actioned only once HR gives me go ahead via email but wanted to know some information beforehand so ia m prepared in advance. Always been hesitant to use keylogger for staff or students

Hi guys we had some hardware failure so had to add new hard drives to server. We have re-created similar setup as before. We have a D drive. earlier it was called N drive but changed to D drive On DPM server i am trying to restore the D drive but i keep getting below error message DPM cannot detect volume D on the *server name* If volume is present run get datasource... I am not sure what the above is and whatever i do i dont want to lose any data. At present i am doing recovery to the E drive on server then manually copy to D drive but this is double work. The d drive hosts all users home drives, redirection and profile and shared folders etc Any ideas how i can get DPM to view the volume so i can safely restore to D drive without any issues? thanks

tried all above, uninstalled ABtutor from one class room but still having same issues. Theres some offices that dont even have ABtutor installed and its doing this. Whats bugging is only way to resolve is by resetting profile. So theres something in profile or something being done to change the profile setting.

that actually worked but instead of roaming it was under the local folder internet explorer and one sqlmon folder it was trying to copy. need to check if its same on other machines too and then need to create a script somehow thanks

I have this issue with ALL users staff and students and any PC in school. as long as i dont reset profile it will be fine but soon as i do, they can log on to any pc they will get above message. do i still need to do above ? as i canbe years doing that for all pc, i initially thought it must be server issue as its all users and all pc

I have a weird issue, when a user logs on they get below error message the user profile sercice failed the logon User profile cannot be loaded I checked on server and its creating blank profile Few weeks ago we had to restore the server, so the profiles folder on server was one of the folders that was restored. My suspicion is its lost its security settings but i am not sure what it should be. This only happens when we reset there profile. For example if i was to rename a users profile from username to username.old then ask him to log on, he will get the above error message. any ideas? thanks

My lease time for wifi is set to 2 hours only! lol see attached my vlans config as you can see wifi has 255 addresses. I have printers on 60 which is also running low. Ideally i wanted to avoid to much switch config. I have 2 vlans i can use the pan vlan or Lan proj which are not being used at all. is there a quick process i can do to use those vlans for the wifi? maybe by creating a second SSID if i have to but would rather avoid if i can but whatever i got to do i do i guess. Then probably over summer plan is to redo the scopes from scratch to give enough ip addresses to all scopes.

Hi guys we have a subnet range of 10.235.152.1 - 10.235.159.254 Its split up in multiple vlans for use within network. One issue we are having is the wireless lan is now full ( 10.235.158.0) We have few scopes here and there that are not in use so wondered if i can use those scopes to use in wifi. How can i add the scope to the wifi network? Do i rename the scope to wifi and configure the meru access controller to look for 2nd ip ranges. Or do i need to configure my switches? any pointers on above will be good thanks

Hi guys a ex capita school and noticed windows search is disabled... any reason why this could be? if i was to enable would this cause much issues to network? reason i ask is few staff wants outlook to have search function and it says windows search is disabled etc... any advice recommended thanks

Hi guys we have lgfl ad sync enabled. im new to this school so not sure, but the team not sure, if a user has left, it deletes the user from the AD. Does it also delete the home drive? or is that something us admin do?

I have just got told this issue was occuring even before ab tutor was installed. They had net support before, they had issue then, then they uninstalled net support and was without any software and still it had issue and then installed ab tutor and still issue. its been going on for years apparently.

sadly its restricted so unable to see the proxy settings. We do use classroom management software, we use ab tutor. But this issue happens once a day sometimes few times and in different classes. so could it be linked to ab tutor?

Hi guys we have a server 2012 RDS setup. we have thin clients and users log on to there areas. The user logs in ok, applies all settings, and configures personalized settings on top right hand corner. Then the screen goes blank with mouse cursor and can take up-to 3-5mins for the start menu to appear. This is happening to all user accounts, even administrators. It never was this bad. any ideas what it can be? the new issue we having now is soon as they log in theirs issues with black screen and think profiles is not loading properly. But loads ok on a normal desktop. It seems to be loading temporary profile all the time on RDS. i have noticed one thing, whenever someone logs in they get the folder named as below username.backup-001 username.backup-002 username.backup-003 username.backup-004 and so on.... it definitely seems to be a profile issue. Either not downloading profile or uploading. any ideas?

Hi guys At a school i work at, some users have a issue where they can work normal then all of sudden they cant browse internet, it says proxy server is not responding what i dont understand is we dont have any proxy server and not for the past 5 years atleast! Hi all looking to buy a network drive plugged into network then configure workstations to map drives to it. Is there any reliable devices that can do this? Also is it possible to backup that network hard drive? or a mapped share from one of the PC? Staff wants to keep this separate to the network and not be in server hence doing like this thanks

Something ive tended to ignore but getting few alerts by staff on this mainly by the SLT now. problem - Some staff don't see folders they have created between computers namely due to offline files issues i guess. on one affected machine i tried sync all but kept getting error conflicts etc. Managed to work around and get access to the folder after but wondering if i turn off offline files from FPO will that cause issues on files that have not been synchronized yet? thanks in advance

Hi all one of deputy headteacher at my current place has found a new job at a special needs school. 50 kids max. They use excel spreadsheet for all MIS related work and he wanted a software so it can reduce time for all work. Items he mentioned he wanted the MIS to do is as below Attendance, Progress Tracking and Behavior Does anyone know any cheap software that can do that? money is big issue apparently so needs something very cheap. he know what you pay you get. any ideas thanks in advance
